# Privacy Policy for ZipRow

ZipRow ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our local file indexing and search services.

### 1. Local-First Data Commitment
The core philosophy of ZipRow is **Local Privacy**. 
*   **No Data Uploads**: All files you import (Excel, PDF, Word, CSV, TXT) are processed and indexed exclusively on your device. 
*   **Local Database**: Your "Vaults" and search indices are stored in a private SQLite database on your device's internal storage. We do not have access to your files or the data extracted from them.
*   **No Account Required**: You can use all core features of ZipRow without creating an account or providing an email address.

### 2. Information We Process
While we do not collect your personal file data, some limited information is processed:
*   **Usage Statistics**: We may collect anonymous diagnostic data to improve app performance and stability.
*   **Search History**: "Recent Searches" are stored locally on your device for your convenience and can be deleted by you at any time.
*   **Voice Search**: When you use the Voice Search feature, your voice data is processed by the Android System Speech Recognizer. ZipRow does not record or store your voice audio.

### 3. Third-Party Services & Monetization
ZipRow uses **Google AdMob** to provide Interstitial and Rewarded advertisements. 
*   **Consent Management**: We implement the **Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK** to comply with international privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.). Ads are only requested after appropriate consent is gathered or verified as unnecessary.
*   **Device Identifiers**: Third-party providers may collect identifiers such as the Google Advertising ID.
*   **Safety Cool-down**: We implement a local timer to ensure ads are not shown more than once every 5 minutes to protect your user experience.

### 4. Permissions Disclosure
To provide our search services, ZipRow requires the following permissions:
*   **Storage/Media Access**: To allow you to pick and import documents from your device into your Vaults. ZipRow uses the Storage Access Framework (SAF) to ensure it only accesses files you specifically select.
*   **Microphone**: Only used when you manually trigger the "Voice Search" feature.
*   **Internet**: Required exclusively for fetching advertisements and checking AdMob configurations.

### 5. Data Security
Your data is stored in your device's private app directory, which is protected by the Android operating system's security sandbox. We recommend using device-level security (PIN, Pattern, or Biometrics) to further protect your local data vaults.

### 6. Sharing Data
*   **User-Initiated Sharing**: When you use the "Share as Image" or "Export CSV" features, the App generates a temporary file. You have total control over which external apps (e.g., WhatsApp, Email) receive this data.
*   **No Third-Party Sale**: We never sell or lease any information derived from your local files to third parties.

### 7. Children’s Privacy
ZipRow does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since all data processing is local, the App is inherently safe, but we encourage parental supervision.

### 8. Your Rights
Under current digital privacy guidelines, you have the right to:
*   **Access & Export**: You can export your data results via the CSV Export feature at any time.
*   **Deletion**: You can delete specific Vaults, search history, or the entire App database (via "Clear Data" in Android Settings) to permanently remove all indexed information.

### 9. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App's onboarding or settings screen.
