What the app does

YaNaviPeb reads the turn-by-turn navigation notification posted by Yandex Maps or Yandex Navigator and shows the current maneuver, distance, remaining distance, ETA and trip duration on your Pebble smartwatch.

Notification access

The app uses Android's notification access, which you grant yourself in the system settings and can revoke at any time. YaNaviPeb only processes the navigation notification of Yandex Maps (ru.yandex.yandexmaps) and Yandex Navigator (ru.yandex.yandexnavi). All other notifications are ignored.

How your data is handled

The navigation notification may contain street names, addresses and route information. This data is processed on your device only and passed to the Pebble companion app installed on the same phone, which delivers it to your watch. YaNaviPeb does not store it, does not send it to any server, and does not request the Internet permission. Route text is not written to device logs in release builds.

What we do not do

YaNaviPeb does not collect personal data, does not create accounts, and contains no advertising, analytics, crash reporting or tracking. We do not sell or share your data with anyone.

Third parties

Navigation data is handed to the Pebble app you have chosen to use with your watch; how that app handles data is governed by its own privacy policy. YaNaviPeb is an independent project and is not affiliated with Yandex, Pebble or Core Devices.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
