1. Introduction
Waseely (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Waseely mobile application and related services (the “Service”), an e-commerce platform that enables users to buy and sell goods and pay through integrated payment gateways. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and the choices you have. This policy is designed to comply with applicable app store policies (Google Play, Apple App Store) and common international privacy practices.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the Service and provide a safe, functional experience.
a. Account and contact information (Collected)
Name, email address, phone number (if provided), and password/hash used to create and manage your account.
Profile photo (only if you upload one).
b. Transaction and payment data (Processed by Stripe)
Order details, billing/shipping address, and payment-related metadata required to complete purchases. Payment card data (card numbers, CVV) is processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or CVV on our servers. See the “Payments” section below.
c. Location data (User-controlled)
Location is accessed only when you actively select or enter a delivery address or use an address selection feature. We collect only the location data necessary to fulfill the delivery/address selection request. We do not track your location continuously in the background.
d. Photos & media
Access to photos or media is requested only when you explicitly choose to add or update a profile picture or other user-provided images. We will request permission from your device before accessing local photos.
e. Device & usage data (Automatically collected)
Device model, OS version, app version, unique device identifiers, crash logs, performance metrics, and basic usage analytics to maintain and improve the Service.
f. Communications
Messages you send to customer support, feedback, dispute communications, and any information you include in such messages.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data for the following purposes:
Create, operate, and maintain your account and the Service.
Process orders and payments, manage refunds and disputes.
Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
Deliver items to the address you provide and communicate order status.
Prevent fraud and protect the security of the Service and our users.
Improve, analyze, and personalize the Service (product recommendations, feature improvements).
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Legal Basis for Processing (Where Applicable)
Performance of a contract: processing orders, payments, and account management.
Legitimate interests: fraud prevention, security, service improvement.
Consent: where local law requires consent (for example, certain analytics or marketing activities). You may withdraw consent where applicable.
5. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
Service providers: Stripe for payment processing; cloud and hosting providers; analytics providers; shipping/fulfillment partners — only to the extent needed to perform services.
Legal and safety: When required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect rights, property, safety.
Business transfers: If Waseely is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction (we will notify users where required).
All third parties we use are contractually required to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality measures.
6. Payments / Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe. When you make a payment, Stripe collects and processes your payment card information directly. Waseely does not store sensitive card data (full card numbers or CVV).
Stripe’s use of personal information is governed by Stripe’s privacy policy and terms; Waseely recommends reviewing Stripe’s documentation for details on how card data is handled and secured.
For disputes, chargebacks, and refunds, we will share necessary transaction and order data with Stripe and relevant financial institutions.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal data as long as your account exists and as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

8. Your Rights and Choices
Access, correction: You may access and correct account information through the app or by contacting us.
Deletion: Request account deletion; we will remove personal data except where retention is required.
Promotional communications: You may opt out of marketing emails following the unsubscribe instructions or contacting us.
Device permissions: You control location and photo permissions through your device settings and may revoke them at any time.
9. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No system is completely secure; in the event of a data breach, we will follow applicable notification requirements.
10. Children’s Privacy
Waseely is not intended for children under 16 (or a higher age where required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected such data, we will take steps to delete it.
11. Third-party Links and Services
The Service may include links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third parties. We recommend reviewing third-party privacy policies.
12. International Transfers
If you are located outside the country where our servers or service providers operate, your information may be transferred to and processed in other jurisdictions. We will take reasonable steps to ensure adequate protections for your data.

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated policy in the app and indicate the effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
