UniCurve is designed as a cloud-powered application to provide a seamless academic planning experience.
To enable features like multi-device access, academic progress tracking, and personalized recommendations, your data is securely stored online.
- We collect only the data necessary to make the Application functional and useful.
- Your data is stored securely on our backend servers, provided by Supabase.
- You are required to create an account to use the Service, which allows us to save your progress and provide personalized features.
- Your personal and academic data is never sold or shared with third-party advertisers.

Personal Information You Provide:
When you create an account, we collect information necessary for account management and application functionality. This includes:
- Student Users: First name, last name, email address, university, major, and university number.
- University Admin Users: First name, last name, email address, phone number, and position.
Academic Information You Provide:
To use the Application's core features, you voluntarily provide academic data, such as:
- Subjects you have taken.
- Marks and grades you have received.
This data is used exclusively for GPA calculations, curriculum planning, and generating academic recommendations within your account.
Technical and Usage Data:
The Application uses a third-party service that may collect limited information to function:
Supabase (Backend and App Updates):
- What it's for: Supabase is our all-in-one backend service. We use it for user authentication (login/signup), database storage (your account, subjects, grades), and checking for mandatory app updates.
- Data Collected: To provide these services, Supabase processes your account information, academic data, and technical details like your IP address and app version. Your data is stored securely in our private database hosted by Supabase.

This Application is ad-free and does not use any advertising services.
Application Permissions
The Application requests the following permissions to function correctly:
- Internet & Access Network State: Required to securely connect to our servers (Supabase) to log you in, save your data, and check for updates.
No other sensitive permissions are requested. We do not access your contacts, location, files, or photos.
Data Retention and User Rights
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active to ensure the continuous functionality of the Service.
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time. You can do this from within the Application's settings menu. When you request to delete your account, all your personal and academic information will be permanently and irreversibly removed from our servers.
Security
We take the security of your data seriously.
- All data transmitted between the Application and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS.
- Passwords are securely hashed and are never stored in plain text.
- We use trusted and secure backend services (Supabase) to host and protect your data.
Children's Privacy
Our Service is intended for university students and administrators, who are generally over the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take necessary action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on our app store listing, and we may notify you through the Application. Continued use of the Application after changes are made indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
