PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date: May 23, 2026
Last updated: May 23, 2026

1. Who we are

Twodo ("App", "we", "us", "our") is a household planner for recipes, meal planning, pantry, and shopping lists, published on Google Play by Trust Byte Apps.

Privacy contact: trustbyteapps@gmail.com
Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.app.twodo

This policy applies to everyone who uses Twodo in any country where the App is available on Google Play.

2. Important: current version uses local storage only

In the current version of Twodo:

- Your recipes, pantry items, meal plans, notes, diet preferences, and family member emails you add are stored only on your Android device.
- We do not upload this household data to Trust Byte Apps servers.
- We do not sync this data to the cloud in the current version.
- This data is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer.
- You can erase all of this data anytime in the App under Settings → Delete my data, or by uninstalling the App.

Sign-in is not required for the current version. If a future update adds optional cloud sync, we will update this policy before that feature is enabled.

3. What else we process (third parties)

Even though your household content stays on your device, the App uses online services for ads, optional analytics, crash diagnostics, and AI suggestions:

Advertising
- Google AdMob shows banner ads and optional rewarded video ads.
- Google may use your device's advertising ID and related signals when ads are shown, unless you limit ads in your device settings.
- In some regions (for example the EEA and UK), we ask for your consent through Google's consent tool before personalized ads and certain measurement.

Usage analytics
- Google Firebase Analytics receives anonymous usage events (for example when you add a recipe or use AI suggest). Events do not include your recipe text or email address.
- Analytics runs only after consent where required by law.

Crash reporting
- Google Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash logs (such as stack traces, device model, and OS version) to help us fix bugs.
- Crash reporting in release builds follows the same consent rules as analytics. We do not put recipe content in crash reports.

AI recipe suggestions
- Only when you tap "Suggest ingredients & steps (AI)", we send your dish name and any diet preferences you selected to our AI provider, Z.AI (api.z.ai), over a secure connection.
- We do not store full AI prompts on our own servers in the current version.

Consent choices
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) records your ad and measurement choices where required. You can change ad choices in Settings → Ad preferences when that option appears.

4. How we use information

We use information to:
- Run the App and keep your data on your device
- Provide AI suggestions when you request them
- Show ads that support the free App
- Understand aggregate usage and fix crashes
- Comply with privacy laws and respond to your requests

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies:
- On-device storage and core features: contract and/or legitimate interests
- Ads: consent (via Google's consent tool where required)
- Analytics and crash reporting: consent where required; otherwise legitimate interests where permitted
- AI suggestions: contract (the feature you requested) and/or consent where required

You may withdraw consent for ads and related measurement through Ad preferences in Settings (when shown) and your device's ad settings.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers:

- Google LLC — AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, consent messaging, and Play distribution. See https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Z.AI — AI suggestions when you use that feature. Data may be processed outside your country.

We may disclose information if required by valid legal process.

7. Your choices and rights

In the App:
- Delete my data — removes all Twodo data stored on your device in the current version
- Privacy policy — opens this page
- Ad preferences — change ad consent when available

On your device:
- Limit or reset your advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads (wording may vary)
- Uninstall the App to remove remaining local data

Contact trustbyteapps@gmail.com to exercise access, correction, deletion, or other rights available in your country. We aim to respond within applicable time limits (for example 30 days under GDPR).

United States (including California): We do not sell personal information. You may request access, deletion, or correction without discrimination for exercising your rights.

EEA/UK: You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Retention

- On-device household data: until you delete it in the App, use Delete my data, or uninstall
- Analytics and crash data: according to Google's retention policies
- Ad-related data: according to Google AdMob policies
- AI requests: according to Z.AI's policies; we do not keep full prompts on our servers in the current version
- Privacy emails to us: as long as needed to handle your request

9. Children

Twodo is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect children's personal information. Contact trustbyteapps@gmail.com if you believe a child provided data.

10. Security

We use HTTPS/TLS for network traffic, private on-device storage for your household data, and consent-gated analytics and crash reporting in release builds. No security method is perfect.

11. International use

Twodo is available in countries where Google Play distributes it. Third-party providers may process data in other countries, including the United States.

12. Changes

We will update this policy at the same URL when we add features (such as cloud sync), change services, or when law requires. We will update the "Last updated" date and provide notice in the App or Play Store when appropriate.
