This Privacy Policy applies to the TOPIK SNAP mobile application and related app services (the "Application") operated by jongwook ryu (the "Service Provider").

Overview
TOPIK SNAP is a Korean vocabulary study app. The Application does not require account registration, login, a user profile, or submission of your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone data, camera data, or precise location to use the study features.
The Application stores study progress and app preferences locally on your device. The Application does not currently display third-party advertising and does not currently offer in-app purchases.
Information Stored Locally On Your Device
To provide the study experience, the Application may store the following information locally on your device:
Study progress, including studied word IDs, mastery level, correct and incorrect counts, last studied time, and next review time.
Study session records, such as pass/fail results for words studied in a session.
Quiz results, such as quiz type, level, total questions, correct answers, and completion time.
Bookmarked words.
Chapter study settings, such as selected study duration, start date, last chapter, memorized word IDs, and failed word IDs.
App preferences, such as display language, theme mode, and study card display settings.
This local study data is stored on your device using local storage technologies such as SQLite and device preferences. The Service Provider does not operate a user account system or a backend server that receives your study progress from the Application.
Information You Provide
The Application does not ask you to submit personal information inside the app. If you contact the Service Provider by email, the Service Provider may receive your email address and the contents of your message. This information is used to respond to your inquiry, provide support, and maintain necessary records.
Advertising
The Application does not currently display third-party advertising.
In-App Purchases
The Application does not currently offer in-app purchases.
Third-Party Services
The Application may use the following third-party services:
Google Play services, where applicable on Android.
Apple App Store distribution services, where applicable on iOS.
These third-party services may collect, process, retain, or share data according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations. The Service Provider is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
The Application does not currently use Google Analytics for Firebase or Firebase Crashlytics.
Cookies And Similar Technologies
The Application itself does not use a web-based account or website cookie system for its study features. The Application does not currently use cookies, pixels, or similar tracking technologies for advertising or payment features.
Data Sharing
The Service Provider does not sell your study progress, bookmarks, or local app preferences.
The Service Provider may disclose information only in the following situations:
To comply with applicable law, legal process, or government requests.
To protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the Service Provider, or others.
To respond to fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues.
To service providers acting on behalf of the Service Provider, if such services are introduced in the future and are governed by appropriate safeguards.
Data Retention
Local study data and preferences remain on your device until you delete them, clear the Application's data through your device settings, or uninstall the Application. Some in-app reset controls may reset parts of your study progress, but clearing app data or uninstalling the Application is the most complete way to remove locally stored app data from your device.
Email support messages may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, maintain support records, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or protect legitimate interests.
Data processed by Google, Apple, or other third-party services is retained according to their own retention policies.
Your Rights And Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or objection to certain personal data held by the Service Provider. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Because the Application does not use an account system and stores study progress locally on your device, the Service Provider may not be able to access, correct, or delete local study data directly. You can delete local app data by using your device's app data controls or by uninstalling the Application.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, used, disclosed, sold, or shared; the right to request deletion or correction; the right to opt out of sale or sharing; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.
The Service Provider does not sell your local study progress or app preferences and does not use third-party advertising services in the Application. You can contact the Service Provider at vokasnap@gmail.com for privacy requests.
International Data Transfers
The Service Provider is based outside some users' countries of residence. Third-party services such as Google and Apple may process data in countries other than your country of residence. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, appropriate transfer mechanisms will be used by the relevant data controller or processor.
Children
The Application is intended for general Korean language learners and is not directed to children under 13 years of age, or a higher age where required by applicable law. The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit personal information from children or knowingly market the Application to children.

Security
The Service Provider uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information handled by the Service Provider. Local app data is stored on your device and is subject to your device's security settings. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.
Data Breach Notification
If a data breach occurs that affects personal data held by the Service Provider, the Service Provider will notify affected users or authorities where required by applicable law.
Changes To This Privacy Policy
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated Privacy Policy will be posted with a new effective date. Where required by law, the Service Provider will seek consent or provide additional notice before material changes take effect.
