Privacy Policy — TheftShield

This Privacy Policy explains how Globid Inc. (“Globid,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use TheftShield: Anti Theft Alarm (“TheftShield,” the “App”).

TheftShield is designed primarily as an on-device anti-theft alarm utility. Most protection functions operate locally on your device.

1. Information We Collect

Device and App Information

We and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical information, including:

• device model and operating system version;
• app version;
• language and general device settings;
• app interactions and feature usage;
• diagnostics, crash logs, and performance information;
• identifiers used by Google services, including advertising identifiers where permitted.

This information may be processed through services such as Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google AdMob.

Motion and Charging Information

TheftShield may use device sensors and system events to detect:

• movement of the device;
• changes in charging status;
• connection or disconnection of a charging cable.

This information is used to provide the App’s protection features and is generally processed locally on your device.

We do not use this sensor information to track your physical location.

Backup PIN

If you choose to enable the optional Backup PIN feature, the PIN is stored locally on your device in protected form, such as a salted cryptographic hash.

We do not receive or store your Backup PIN on our servers.

Biometric and Device Authentication

TheftShield may use Android biometric authentication or your device credential to authorize disarming.

Your fingerprint, facial recognition data, device PIN, password, or pattern is handled by Android and your device manufacturer.

Globid Inc. does not receive or store your biometric data or device unlock credentials.

Flashlight / Camera-Related Access

TheftShield may use your device flashlight for alarm functionality.

Depending on the Android device and implementation, a camera-related permission may be required to control the flashlight.

TheftShield does not use this functionality to:

• take photographs;
• record video;
• store images;
• upload camera content.

Purchase Information

TheftShield may offer a Lifetime Premium one-time purchase.

Purchases are processed by Google Play.

We may receive information confirming:

• whether a purchase is active;
• the purchased product;
• purchase status or entitlement information.

We do not receive your full payment card details.

Advertising

The free version of TheftShield may display advertisements through Google AdMob.

AdMob may process information such as:

• advertising identifiers;
• device information;
• IP address;
• app interaction information;
• approximate location inferred from IP or other permitted signals;
• advertising and measurement data.

Google processes this information according to its own privacy policies and consent requirements.

2. Firebase Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with TheftShield.

Analytics information may include:

• feature usage;
• screen views;
• session information;
• device and app information;
• general engagement data.

We use this information to improve the App, identify useful features, and understand overall product performance.

3. Firebase Crashlytics

We use Firebase Crashlytics to diagnose crashes and technical problems.

Crash reports may include:

• device model;
• operating system;
• app version;
• crash stack traces;
• diagnostic and performance information.

This helps us improve reliability and fix errors.

4. How We Use Information

We may use information to:

• provide TheftShield’s functionality;
• detect technical problems;
• improve performance and usability;
• understand aggregate usage patterns;
• manage Premium purchases;
• display and measure advertising;
• prevent abuse and fraud;
• comply with legal obligations.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable under the GDPR or UK GDPR, we process personal information based on one or more of the following:

• performance of a service requested by you;
• our legitimate interests in operating, securing, improving, and supporting the App;
• your consent, where required, including certain advertising or analytics activities;
• compliance with legal obligations.

You may withdraw consent where applicable through device settings, consent controls, or by contacting us.

6. Third-Party Services

TheftShield may use services provided by third parties, including:

• Google Play Services;
• Google Play Billing;
• Google Play In-App Review;
• Google Firebase Analytics;
• Google Firebase Crashlytics;
• Google AdMob.

These providers may collect and process information according to their own privacy policies.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information with service providers that help us:

• operate analytics;
• diagnose crashes;
• provide advertising;
• process purchases;
• maintain and improve the App.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

8. Data Retention

Data stored locally by TheftShield generally remains on your device until:

• you change or remove the relevant setting;
• you clear the App’s data;
• you uninstall the App.

Information processed by third-party services such as Firebase or AdMob is retained according to their policies and our configured retention settings.

We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.

However, no software, device, network, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children

TheftShield is not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at office@globidinc.com.

11. International Users

TheftShield may be available worldwide.

Information processed by third-party providers may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence.

Where required, appropriate safeguards are used in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as:

• accessing personal information;
• correcting inaccurate information;
• requesting deletion;
• objecting to or restricting certain processing;
• withdrawing consent;
• requesting data portability;
• submitting a complaint to a data protection authority.

Because much of TheftShield’s functionality is processed locally, some information may exist only on your device and may be controlled directly by deleting App data or uninstalling the App.

13. California Privacy Rights

Where applicable, California residents may have rights under California privacy laws, including rights to know, delete, correct, or limit certain uses of personal information.

Globid Inc. does not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

Advertising technologies may involve data processing that is regulated differently depending on applicable law and user settings.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the App, Google Play listing, or other appropriate means.

The revised policy will be effective from the date shown at the top of this document.
