Privacy Policy — T1 Life

T1 Life ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") is developed and operated by Kalpavriksh Healthcare Private Limited ("Kalpavriksh Healthcare"), which is the data controller responsible for your information. T1 Life is a companion app for people living with Type 1 diabetes. It helps you log blood glucose, meals, insulin, and exercise, and provides suggested insulin doses at mealtime based on parameters set by your care team.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. Because the App handles health information, we take its protection seriously.

1. Information We Collect

a. Account information. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive and store your email address, your name, a unique account identifier, and (for Google) your profile picture. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.

b. Health and diabetes-management data you provide. This includes the information you enter or generate in the App, such as: blood glucose readings, carbohydrate/meal entries, insulin doses, exercise activity, and the insulin-dose suggestions the App calculates for you.

c. Profile and clinical settings. Information used to personalize your dose suggestions, such as date of birth, sex, height, weight, year of diagnosis, contact details, your clinician, and the insulin-to-carbohydrate ratios and related parameters set with your care team.

d. Technical and log data. Standard information collected automatically to operate the service securely and reliably, such as IP address, device type, operating system, and crash logs.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: provide and operate the App; calculate and display suggested insulin doses; enable your care team to review and approve your account and set your personal parameters; maintain your history; provide support; keep the service secure; and diagnose and fix problems. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

3. How Your Information Is Shared

- Your care team / clinician. Your account requires review and approval by your care team, who may view your information and set the parameters used for your dose suggestions.
- Service providers (processors). We host data and run the service on Google Cloud Platform (application hosting and file storage) and MongoDB Atlas (database). Authentication is provided by Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple. These providers process data on behalf of Kalpavriksh Healthcare under their own security and privacy commitments.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of users or the public.

We do not share your information with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud Platform and MongoDB Atlas. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption of data in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your account and the data associated with it (see Section 6), except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations.

6. Your Rights and Choices

- Delete your account and data — in the App. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete account. This removes your account, your logs (glucose, insulin, meals, exercise), your predictions, and related data.
- Delete by request. You may also email us at docrajivsingla@kvsc.in to request deletion, and we will respond within a reasonable time.
- Access and correction. You can view and update your information within the App, or contact us for help.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act — including rights to access, correct, delete, and object to certain processing. 7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental or guardian consent. If a parent or legal guardian uses the App to manage care on behalf of a minor, they do so on their behalf.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date, and material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
