Terms & Conditions — Sutra
Last updated: June 11, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Sutra app ("Sutra," "we," "us"). By downloading or using Sutra, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sutra on Apple devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.
2. Your account
Some features (such as publishing and sharing classes) require signing in with Apple. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Your content
You retain ownership of the classes you create. When you publish a class, you grant other Sutra users a license to view and copy that class's structure within the app, and you grant us a license to host and display it for that purpose. You are responsible for the content you publish and represent that you have the right to share it. You can unpublish a class at any time. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
4. Acceptable use — zero tolerance for objectionable content and abuse
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior on Sutra. You agree not to publish, share, or transmit content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable, and not to harass, abuse, or harm other users. You also agree not to attempt to disrupt the service or access it in unauthorized ways.
4a. Reporting, blocking, and moderation
Every published class and every user profile includes a Report action, and every profile includes a Block action. Blocking a user immediately removes their content from your view and notifies us to review their account. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and aim to act within 24 hours — removing content and suspending or terminating accounts that violate these Terms, without notice. Reports and appeals can also be sent to byron.ptgo@gmail.com.
5. Third-party services
Sutra works with Apple Music, Apple Health (HealthKit), Sign in with Apple, and Google Firebase. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms. Music playback requires an Apple Music subscription. Sutra is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple, Google, or any music provider.
6. Health disclaimer
Sutra is a fitness and class-organization tool, not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before beginning any exercise program. You use Sutra and perform any poses at your own risk.
7. No warranty
Sutra is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of Sutra.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Sutra at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using Sutra at any time.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Sutra after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and your state of residence, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
