### A. Local User Data (Offline Storage)
StashIt is designed with an **offline-first memory companion architecture**. All physical item records, text notes, category tags, storage location hierarchies, and photo thumbnails captured by you are stored **locally on your device** using a sandboxed SQLite database (`Drift`).
- **We do NOT collect, transmit, store, or sell your stashed item data, photos, or physical storage locations to any external servers.**
- Your data remains 100% private on your local physical device.
### B. Device Permissions
To provide full functionality, StashIt may request the following device permissions:
- **Camera Permission (`android.permission.CAMERA`)**: Used solely to allow you to take photos of your belongings inside the app. Photos are processed and compressed locally on your device.
- **Photo Gallery / Storage Permission (`android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE` / `READ_MEDIA_IMAGES`)**: Used solely to allow you to select existing photos of your items from your device gallery.
- **Network / Internet Access (`android.permission.INTERNET`, `ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE`)**: Used solely for Google Mobile Ads SDK initialization and serving non-intrusive advertisements when connected online.

## 2. Third-Party Services & Advertising
StashIt uses **Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)** to serve advertisements when your device is connected to the internet. Google Mobile Ads may collect and process certain non-personally identifiable technical data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, including:
- **Device Identifiers**: Advertising ID (GAID/IDFA)
- **Technical Device Info**: OS version, device model, mobile network operator
- **Coarse Location / IP Address**: Used for ad localization and fraud prevention

## 3. Data Retention & Deletion
- **Local Data Control**: You have full control over your data. You can edit, update, or permanently delete any item, location, or photo record at any time directly within the application.
- **App Uninstallation**: Uninstalling StashIt will permanently erase all locally saved SQLite databases, photos, and settings from your device.

StashIt does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. Our application is a general-audience physical belongings memory utility. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately.
