SprintTrac Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 4, 2026
This privacy policy applies to the SprintTrac app for iPhone and Apple Watch (the "App"), operated by Max Good (the "Developer").
The Short Version
SprintTrac does not collect your data. Everything the App records — workouts, locations, heart rate, calibration — stays on your devices. The Developer has no servers, runs no analytics, uses no third-party SDKs, and never sees, receives, or transmits any of your information.
Information the App Uses (On Your Device Only)
To time your sprints, the App uses the following — all processed and stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch, and never transmitted to the Developer or any third party:
- Location (GPS). Used in real time, only during workouts and calibration runs, to measure sprint distance. Location data is used for distance calculation and, if you choose to save workouts to Apple Health (Pro), to store a route map in your own Apple Health account. The App does not log, upload, or share your location.
- Motion and fitness data. Step counts and accelerometer readings from Apple's Core Motion are used to measure distance and detect sprint starts. Processed on-device only.
- Heart rate (Apple Watch). Read from the Watch's sensor during workouts, with your permission, to display live heart rate and per-sprint stats. Stored only in your workout history on your device.
- Workout history. Your completed sessions (times, distances, heart rate) are saved in a file on your iPhone. You can delete any session in the App, or remove everything by deleting the App.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
With your permission, the App can save completed workouts (including GPS routes and heart rate) to Apple Health. Health data is written to and read from your own Apple Health store under the controls you set in iOS. The Developer never receives your Health data, and data obtained through HealthKit is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and never shared with third parties.
Purchases
SprintTrac offers an optional one-time in-app purchase ("SprintTrac Pro"). Payment is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple Account. The Developer does not receive or store your payment details, and the App does not track your purchase history beyond the unlock state Apple provides on your device.
Analytics, Ads, and Tracking
None. The App contains no advertising, no analytics, no tracking technologies, and no third-party SDKs. The App makes no network connections to the Developer.
Data Sharing and Retention
Because the Developer never receives your data, there is nothing to share, sell, or retain. All App data lives on your devices and in your personal iCloud/Apple Health storage under Apple's standard protections. Deleting the App removes its local data from your device.
Children
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. It is a fitness timing tool appropriate for general audiences; users under 13 should use it with a parent or guardian's permission.
Your Rights
Since no personal data is collected or held by the Developer, there is nothing for the Developer to access, correct, or delete on your behalf — your data is already entirely in your control on your own devices. If you have questions about your rights or this policy, contact the Developer at the address below.
Changes to This Policy
If the App's data practices ever change, this policy will be updated and the effective date revised before the change takes effect.
