 Overview

 Solace  is an AI companion that remembers your life - your conversations, tasks,
 and the things that matter to you. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data we
 collect, how we use it, and your rights.

 Data We Collect

 - Voice recordings - temporarily processed on-device using Whisper for transcription. Audio files are
 stored locally on your device and never uploaded to our servers.
 - Transcripts and extracted items - stored locally in an on-device SQLite database. Sent to OpenAI's API
 (via our secure proxy) for AI processing only.
 - Chat messages - stored locally. Message content is sent to OpenAI for generating AI responses but is
 not stored on OpenAI's servers for training (zero data retention policy).
 - Authentication - if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email to manage your account. We
 do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or other data.
 - Usage counts - we track message counts server-side to enforce free tier limits. No message content is
 stored on our servers.

 How We Use Your Data

 - To transcribe your voice notes and extract tasks, reminders, notes, and decisions.
 - To power the Luna AI companion with context from your past captures and conversations.
 - To generate daily reflections and proactive reminders.
 - To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
 - To collect anonymous usage analytics to understand how Solace is used and improve the experience. You
 can opt out in Settings > Privacy.

 Third-Party Services

 - OpenAI API - processes text for AI features. We use their API with zero data retention enabled. Your
 messages are processed and discarded, not stored or used for training.
 - Supabase - provides authentication and our API proxy. Stores your account info (email, user ID) and
 message usage counts only. No personal content is stored.
 - Google Sign-In - used for authentication only. We do not access any Google services beyond sign-in.
 - Sentry - captures crash reports in production to help us fix bugs. No personal content is included in
 crash reports.
 - Meta (Facebook) SDK - collects anonymous engagement metrics (app opens, session duration, feature
 usage) for ad attribution and app improvement. No personal content is shared. You can disable this in
 Settings > Privacy > Usage Analytics.
 - Supabase Analytics - anonymous event-level usage data (e.g., features used, session counts) to help us
 understand how the app is used and improve it. No personal content is included. You can disable this in
 Settings.
 - GIPHY - when you search for GIFs, your search queries are sent to GIPHY's API. No other personal data
 is shared.

 Local-First Storage

 All your captures, memories, conversations, tasks, reminders, and voice recordings are stored on your
 device in a local SQLite database. We do not have access to this data. If you delete the app, this data
 is permanently removed.

 Data Retention

 - Local data (conversations, memories, voice recordings, tasks) persists on your device until you delete
 it or uninstall the app.
 - OpenAI - we use their API with zero data retention. Your messages are processed and immediately
 discarded.
 - Supabase - account and usage data follows Supabase's retention policies.
 - Analytics data - follows Meta and Supabase retention policies. Disable analytics in Settings to stop
 future data collection.

 Analytics & Your Choices

 To improve your experience, Solace collects anonymous usage analytics by default. This includes
 non-personal data such as which features are used, session frequency, and engagement patterns. No
 personal content - messages, voice recordings, memories, or tasks - is ever included in analytics.

 You can opt out at any time by going to Settings > Privacy and turning off "Usage Analytics". When
 disabled, no data is sent to Meta or Supabase analytics - only essential services (AI responses,
 authentication, crash reports) remain active.

 Your Rights

 Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations, you have the right to:

 - Access your data - view everything Solace stores about you directly in the app.
 - Export your data - download all your data as JSON from Settings > Privacy > Export Your Data.
 - Delete your data - erase all local data via Settings > Danger Zone > Delete All Data.
 - Delete your account - permanently erase all data and sign out via Settings > Account > Delete Account.
 - Opt out of analytics - disable usage tracking in Settings > Privacy > Usage Analytics.

 Account Deletion

 You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Account > Delete Account. This will:

 - Permanently erase all local data - conversations, memories, voice recordings, tasks, reminders, notes,
 and decisions.
 - Cancel all scheduled notifications and reminders.
 - Sign you out of your Google account in the app.

 This action is immediate and irreversible. To also request deletion of server-side authentication records
  (email and user ID stored for sign-in), email vishaal1501out@gmail.com.

 Children's Privacy

 Solace is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal
 information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please

 Changes to This Policy

 We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy
 on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
