The short version
Skyburst is a single-player arcade game. It does not ask you to make an account, and it does not know who you are.
Almost everything the game stores — your progress, your stardust, your purchases, your settings — stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
Two things leave your device:
1. Leaderboard submissions. If you submit a score to the leaderboard, the name you chose, your score, and which stage you reached are sent to our leaderboard provider.
2. Ads. Skyburst shows optional rewarded video ads, supplied by Google AdMob. You never have to watch one; every ad in the game is something you choose to start in exchange for a reward. Google collects data to serve those ads, and in some regions we ask your permission first.
There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no tracking of how you play, and nothing is sold to anyone.
What is stored on your device only
The following never leaves your phone. It lives in the app's private storage and is removed when you uninstall the game.
- Game progress: your current stage, best score, level and experience.
- Your stardust balances and everything you have bought or equipped.
- Skill points and blaster upgrades.
- Settings: volume, language, graphics mode, and whether you have seen the tutorial.
- Custom stages you have created.
- The display name you chose for the leaderboard, and a random identifier the game generates for itself (see below).
We cannot see any of it.
What is sent to the leaderboard
Only when you submit a score. If you never enter a name, nothing is ever sent.
Our leaderboard provider is SimpleBoards ("api.simpleboards.dev").
Each submission contains:
Field| What it is
Display name| The name you typed. You choose it, and it does not have to be your real name — please do not use one.
Score| Your score.
Stage and chain length| Which stage you reached and how long your chain was.
Random player identifier| A random identifier generated by the game and stored on your device.
About the random identifier
So that the leaderboard can show one row per player rather than one per attempt, the game generates a random string the first time it runs and stores it on your device. It is made from the current time and two random numbers.
It is not your advertising ID, your device ID, your phone number, or anything issued by your phone or by Google. It is meaningless outside this game, is not shared with anyone other than the leaderboard provider, and is destroyed when you uninstall the game.
We do not collect your email address, your location, your contacts, your photos, or any other personal information because the game never asks for them.
Advertising
Skyburst shows rewarded ads only. There are no banners, no pop-ups, and no ads between stages.
An ad only ever plays because you pressed a button offering you something in return — a retry, extra stardust, or a free level.
Ads are provided by Google AdMob. To serve them, Google may collect and process information including your device's advertising ID, device and network information, and interactions with the ads. That processing is governed by Google's own policies, not ours:
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Your choice, where the law gives you one
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the first time you open Skyburst you will be shown a consent form asking whether Google may use your data for personalised advertising. Nothing is requested from Google's ad services until you answer.
You can change your answer at any time through Settings → Privacy Options.
You can also reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in Android's own settings, under Settings → Google → Ads.
Legal bases for processing (EEA / UK)
- Personalised advertising: Your consent, given through the form described above, which you may withdraw at any time.
- Non-personalised advertising and basic ad delivery: Our legitimate interest in funding a free game, to the extent permitted where you are.
- Leaderboard submission: Your consent, given by choosing to submit a score. You are never required to do so.
Children
Skyburst is a general-audience game. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information — for example, by using a real name as their leaderboard name — contact us at eliutdev@gmail.com and we will remove it.
How long things are kept
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete the app.
Leaderboard entries are kept by our provider for as long as the leaderboard exists. Because the name you submit is one you chose and the identifier attached to it is random, an entry does not identify you to us.
If you want a leaderboard entry removed, email us at eliutdev@gmail.com and we will have it removed.
Changing your name in Settings also re-submits your best score under the new name. The leaderboard shows only the newest entry for a player, so the old one stops being displayed.
Who your data is shared with
Only the two service providers that make those features work:
- Google AdMob — advertising.
- SimpleBoards — leaderboard hosting.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; to object to processing; or to withdraw consent.
For anything held on your device, uninstalling the app exercises all of these at once. For a leaderboard entry, or for anything else, contact us at eliutdev@gmail.com and we will respond.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the Last updated date above will change with it, and the new version will replace this one at the same address.
Significant changes affecting how your data is used will be announced in the game.
