ShareProof is a local-first application designed to help users manage shared purchases, receipts, ownership records, and reminders.

The App is designed so that all user data is stored locally on the user’s device. We do not operate servers that collect, store, or process personal data.

 

2. Data We Collect and Store

2.1 Data Stored Locally on Device

The App stores the following data locally on your device:

  • Vault and group names
  • Member information
  • Purchase and expense records
  • Payment splits and ownership details
  • Notes and tags
  • Receipt metadata (e.g., merchant name, invoice number, warranty and return dates)
  • Receipt images selected by the user
  • Reminder dates and notification schedules
  • App settings (e.g., currency, theme, language preferences)
  • Purchase entitlement status (premium feature unlock status)

2.2 Storage Method

This data is stored using local device storage technologies such as:

  • SQLite database
  • Secure storage
  • Local file system storage
  • Shared preferences (or equivalent system storage)

We do not transmit or upload this data to any external server.

 

3. Receipt Images and Files

If you choose to attach images (such as receipts or proof of purchase):

  • The file is stored locally within the App’s private storage on your device
  • The file remains under your control
  • The App does not upload or share these files to any external server

4. Notifications

The App may use local notifications to remind you of events such as payment dates, warranty expiry, or scheduled reminders.

  • Notifications are generated and stored on your device
  • No personal data is transmitted externally for notification purposes

The App may offer optional paid features through the platform billing system.

  • Purchases are processed by the respective app store provider (e.g., Google Play or Apple App Store)
  • We do not collect or store payment card or billing information
  • The App may store a local entitlement status to enable premium features

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.

We do not collect user data on servers.

User data is only shared when you explicitly choose to do so using App features, such as:

  • Exporting backup files
  • Generating or sharing PDF reports
  • Sharing files via third-party applications installed on your device

When you choose to share data using external applications or services, that data is subject to the privacy policies of those third parties.

 

7. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services only to provide core functionality:

  • App store billing services (Google Play / Apple App Store) for in-app purchases
  • Operating system file picker for selecting images
  • System share functionality for exporting files
  • Operating system notification services

These third-party services operate under their own privacy policies.

We do not share user data with third parties for advertising or analytics purposes.

 

8. Permissions

The App may request the following permissions:

  • Photos / Files access – to allow users to select and attach receipt images
  • Notifications permission – to send reminders and alerts

Permissions are used only to enable the corresponding App features.

The App does not use permissions to collect or transmit personal data.

 

9. Data Retention and Deletion

  • All data is stored locally on the user’s device
  • Data remains on the device until the user deletes it
  • Uninstalling the App may remove locally stored data depending on device operating system behavior
  • Any exported or shared files are stored outside the App and must be managed or deleted by the user

The App is available globally.
