Screenshotly ("The Extension") is a Chrome Extension designed to capture and style screenshots of your browser tabs.

## Data Collection & Usage

**Screenshotly does not collect, store, or transmit any user data.**

*   **Local Processing**: All image processing (capturing the screenshot, applying styles, preventing layout) happens locally within your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API.

*   **No Servers**: The image you generate never leaves your device unless you choose to share it yourself. We do not have servers that receive your images or personal information.

*   **Preferences**: We use the local storage API (`chrome.storage.local`) to save your preferred settings (e.g., selected background color, platform preset) solely for the purpose of improving your user experience. This data stays on your device and is not synced or shared.

## Permissions

*   **activeTab**: Used only when you click the extension icon to capture the visual content of the current tab.

*   **storage**: Used to remember your interface settings.
