ScreenCheck Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the ScreenCheck app (hereby referred to as "Application") for Android mobile devices, created by Scorpions (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

Information Collection and Use

Data We Collect

The Application collects the following information when you download and use it:

Special Permission: Usage Access

This Application requires the Usage Access permission (android.permission.PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS) to function. This permission allows the app to:

• Read how much time you spend on social media applications
• Display your daily screen time statistics
• Compare your usage with friends who also use the app

Important: We only track aggregate time spent on social media apps. We do NOT read, access, or store any content from your apps, messages, photos, or personal data within those apps.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• ❌ Real name, email address, or phone number
• ❌ Location data (GPS or network-based)
• ❌ Contacts or address book
• ❌ Photos, videos, or media files
• ❌ Content of messages or social media posts
• ❌ Passwords or financial information

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

1. Display your screen time - Show you how much time you spend on social media
2. Enable social features - Allow you to add friends and compare progress
3. Power leaderboards - Rank users by lowest screen time (opt-in)
4. Send nudges - Allow friends to remind each other to take breaks
5. Improve the app - Diagnose crashes and improve performance

Third-Party Services

The Application uses the following third-party services, each with their own Privacy Policy:

Note: If you selected AdMob in the generator but your app doesn't have ads, remove it. Otherwise add: AdMob for displaying advertisements.

Data Sharing

We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.

We may share your information only in these cases:

1. With your friends - Your display name and screen time are visible to users you add as friends
2. On leaderboards - If you opt in to the global leaderboard, your display name and stats are visible to other users
3. With service providers, Our cloud infrastructure (Supabase) stores your data securely
4. As required by law - To comply with legal obligations or protect our rights

Your Privacy Controls

You have full control over your data:

To delete your data, go to Settings → Delete All Data in the app, or email us at

scorpions.infotech@gmail.com.

Data Retention

• We retain your data for as long as you use the Application
• You can delete your account and all data at any time
• After account deletion, data is permanently removed within 30 days

Data Security

We protect your information using:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission
• Secure cloud storage via Supabase PostgreSQL database
• Anonymous identifiers instead of personal information
• Row-level security ensures you can only access your own data

Children's Privacy

The Application is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete it from our servers.
