Welcome to ScorchVision, an app designed to work with a custom Raspberry Pi-based camera system to detect fire using a custom machine learning model.

By using this app, you agree to the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Use of the App

ScorchVision is provided for personal or authorized use with supported hardware. You are responsible for ensuring that your camera setup is configured correctly and that the app is used only for lawful and non-harmful purposes.

2. Notifications

ScorchVision sends push notifications when fire is detected within the camera view. These notifications are generated based on a machine learning model and may not always be accurate. ScorchVision is not a certified fire alarm system. It should not be relied upon as the sole method of fire detection or prevention.

3. No Guarantee of Accuracy

While we strive for accuracy, ScorchVision cannot guarantee the detection of all fires or avoid false positives. You agree that you will not hold us liable for any damages, injuries, or losses that result from fire detection or failure to detect fire.

4. Background Activity

The app may operate in the background to continuously check for fire detection updates. It is your responsibility to ensure the app is running and connected to the hardware.

5. Modifications and Termination

We reserve the right to update or discontinue the app or its features at any time. We may also modify these Terms of Service without notice. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated terms.

6. Limitation of Liability

ScorchVision and its developers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app or the hardware.

This Privacy Policy explains how ScorchVision collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Data Collection

ScorchVision does not collect personal information such as your name, email address, or location. The app communicates with a local Raspberry Pi camera system to check for fire detections but does not transmit video footage, audio, or images to any external servers.

2. Local Processing

Fire detection is processed locally between your mobile app and connected hardware. No image or video data is stored or transmitted externally. Push notifications are based solely on the detection signal from your device setup.

3. Analytics and Tracking

We do not use third-party analytics or tracking tools in the app. We do not collect usage behavior, location data, or device identifiers.

4. Push Notifications

ScorchVision uses push notifications to alert users when a fire is detected. These notifications are generated locally and are not shared with third parties.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to secure the communication between the app and the hardware, but no system is completely secure. Please ensure your Raspberry Pi setup is secured and kept up to date.
