This privacy policy applies to the ScanMyFood app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by CRISTOBAL ALONZO Y ALONZO, LLC (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as an Ad Supported service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include information such as

• Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address)
• The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages
• The time spent on the Application
• The operating system you use on your mobile device

Health Data

Our app includes nutrition and weight management features. In connection with these features, the app may access, process, or store health-related information provided by the user, including:
food photos or meal images submitted for food recognition and calorie estimation;
meal history and nutrition logs;
estimated nutritional values such as calories, protein, fat, and carbohydrates;
weight entries, BMI-related information, calorie goals, and progress data;
profile information provided by the user for personalized calculations, such as age, sex, height, current weight, target weight, and activity level.

How We Use Health Data
We use this information to:
identify foods from user-submitted images;
estimate calories and macronutrients;
maintain the user’s meal log and history;
generate charts, summaries, and progress insights;
personalize calorie targets, weight goals, and related recommendations within the app;
provide and improve the core nutrition and weight management functionality of the app.

Storage of Health Data
Health-related data is stored locally on the user’s device and is not uploaded to our servers, except where required for essential app functionality expressly initiated by the user.

Sharing of Health Data
We do not sell health-related personal data.
We may share limited data only with service providers that help us operate the app, such as hosting, analytics, crash reporting, or AI/image analysis providers, and only where necessary to provide the app’s functionality.
Analytics and crash reporting providers receive technical and usage information, such as device information, app interactions, and diagnostics.
Food photos and related meal data may be sent to an AI or image-processing provider solely to identify food items and estimate nutritional values.
We do not share health data with third parties for advertising personalization.

We retain health-related data for as long as it is needed to provide the app’s features, or until the user deletes the data or requests deletion.
Users may delete stored entries from within the app.

Camera / Photo Access
If the user chooses to scan or photograph food, the app may request access to the device camera or photo library in order to analyze meal images and estimate calories and macronutrients. Camera and photo access is used only for this user-requested functionality.

 Personal Information
To provide personalized nutrition and weight management features, the app may collect or process user profile information such as age or date of birth, sex or gender, height, current weight, target weight, and activity level. This information is used to calculate calorie goals, BMI-related insights, and personalized progress tracking.

Health and Profile Data
To provide nutrition and weight management features, the app asks the user to provide profile and wellness information such as sex, age, current weight, activity level, target weight, and desired rate of weight loss.
This information is processed locally on the user’s device to calculate personalized calorie goals, weight management targets, and progress insights.
This data remains on the device until the user edits or deletes it, clears the app’s data, or uninstalls the app.
We use reasonable security measures appropriate to local on-device storage to help protect this information from unauthorized access.

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

The Application uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance user experience and provide certain features. The AI components may process user data to deliver personalized content, recommendations, or automated functionalities. All AI processing is performed in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable laws. If you have questions about the AI features or data processing, please contact the Service Provider.

The Service Provider may use the information you provided to contact you from time to time to provide you with important information, required notices and marketing promotions.

For a better experience, while using the Application, the Service Provider may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information. The information that the Service Provider request will be retained by them and used as described in this privacy policy.

Third Party Access

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data that you have provided via the Application, please contact them at opogunujone97@gmail.com and they will respond in a reasonable time.

Children

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case the Service Provider discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this from their servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact the Service Provider (opogunujone97@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information the Service Provider processes and maintains.
