PRIVACY POLICY

Rintelligence is an Android application published by Rintel Labs for small retail businesses. It helps users manage company profiles, staff, customers, suppliers, inventory, purchases, sales, payments, retail documents, reports, and business insights. This Privacy Policy explains what information Rintelligence handles, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND PROCESS

Account and authentication information

Rintelligence uses phone-number and one-time-password authentication. Firebase Authentication processes the phone number and creates a unique Firebase user ID. Firebase and Play Integrity may also process IP address, device, application, user-agent, and integrity information to authenticate users, protect accounts, and prevent abuse.

Business and cloud-sync information

The app may process company and business profile information; names, addresses, and phone numbers; customer, supplier, employee, and other business-contact information; products, inventory, purchases, sales, returns, expenses, tax and GST information; payment records, outstanding balances, merchant payment-destination information; shift, terminal, pump, and operational records; and related settings and audit information.

Rintelligence is local-first. Business data is stored in app-private storage on the device and, when Cloud sync is enabled, is transmitted to Rintel Labs cloud services through PowerSync-backed synchronization so authorized members of the same company can use it across devices. Pending changes may remain on the device until a valid Cloud response is received.

Documents, photos, and AI processing

When a user chooses to upload or capture an invoice, bill, receipt, or related retail document, the selected file or image and the context required to process it are transmitted to Rintel Labs backend services and may be processed using Google Gemini. Parsed results can include document numbers and dates, business and contact information, product names, quantities, prices, taxes, totals, and other transaction details. Results are returned to the app for review and may be stored locally and synchronized after the user confirms them.

When online query classification is available, the text of a retail question may be transmitted to the backend and processed using Google Gemini to determine the type of question. Retail answers are produced from the authorized company's data.

Analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring

Rintelligence uses Google Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Performance Monitoring to understand app usage, diagnose crashes and non-fatal errors, and improve reliability and speed.

These services may automatically process app interactions and lifecycle or screen events; crash logs, stack traces, and relevant application state; technical diagnostics and performance measurements such as startup time, rendering, network latency, CPU, and memory usage; app and device metadata; installation and session identifiers; and approximate country or region derived from an IP address.

Rintelligence also sends fixed, low-cardinality diagnostic classifications and primary-screen names. Developer-defined telemetry is designed not to include account, company, customer, supplier, employee, product, document, payment, transaction, file, or free-form message content. Rintelligence does not assign a Firebase Authentication user ID to Analytics, does not set custom Analytics user properties, disables Advertising ID collection, and disables ad-personalization signals.

Local diagnostics and support reports

The app keeps bounded technical diagnostic records in app-private storage to explain synchronization and application failures. A user may explicitly choose to generate and share a sanitized support report. These reports exclude raw business records, source documents, database files, authentication tokens, phone numbers, payment details, and direct business identifiers.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to:

• authenticate users and manage company membership and roles;
• provide, synchronize, and recover app functionality;
• import, parse, review, save, and delete retail documents;
• maintain inventory, transaction, finance, contact, staff, shift, and business records;
• produce reports, reminders, and retail insights;
• classify retail questions and answer them using authorized business data;
• diagnose crashes, errors, failed synchronization, and performance problems;
• protect accounts, services, and data from abuse; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

SERVICE PROVIDERS AND USER-DIRECTED SHARING

We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, or share business records with advertisers.

Information is processed by service providers only as needed to operate Rintelligence, including:

• Google Firebase for Authentication, App Check, Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, installation, and session services;
• PowerSync and Rintel Labs cloud infrastructure for authenticated company-scoped synchronization and backend operations; and
• Google Gemini for user-initiated document processing and supported query classification.

When a user explicitly exports, shares, prints, opens, or sends a document, report, reminder, or other content, Android transfers that content to the system component or application selected by the user, such as WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business. Rintel Labs may also disclose information when required by applicable law or a valid legal process.

ADVERTISING

Rintelligence does not contain advertising SDKs and does not use personal or business data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

SECURITY

Rintelligence uses app-private device storage, authenticated and company-scoped access controls, Firebase Authentication, Firebase App Check with Play Integrity, and encrypted HTTPS or TLS network connections. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

RETENTION

Device-local business records are retained until removed through an app workflow, company deletion, Android app-data deletion, or uninstall. Uninstalling the app removes its device-local data but does not by itself delete a Cloud account or synchronized company data.

Synchronized business data is retained while needed to provide the company service or until an authorized deletion is completed. Temporary document-processing files are scheduled for cleanup after processing; network or service failures may delay cleanup until a later retry or maintenance operation. Analytics, crash, and performance information is retained according to configured Firebase retention controls and applicable Google service terms. Information may be retained longer when required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

ACCOUNT AND DATA DELETION

A verified company owner can open Settings in Rintelligence and select “Delete all my data.” After the required confirmation, this permanently deletes the company's synchronized data, removes the owner's Firebase account, and removes the company's data from that device. This action affects every authorized company user and cannot be undone.

Any user, including a staff member or someone who no longer has access to the app, may request deletion of their Rintelligence account and associated personal data by emailing rintellabs@gmail.com. Include the phone number used for the account and identify Rintelligence in the request. Rintel Labs will verify the requester's identity and authority before deleting data and will explain any information that must be retained for a legitimate legal, security, or compliance reason.

USER CHOICES

Users choose whether to upload or capture documents, whether to confirm parsed information, whether to share generated content or a support report, and whether to use an online feature. Device permissions can be managed through Android settings. Company owners can delete company data through the app, and all users can submit a deletion or privacy request using the contact information below.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Rintelligence is intended for retail business use and is not directed to children. Rintel Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING

Service providers may process information on systems located outside the user's state, province, or country. Appropriate service and security controls apply to that processing.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Rintel Labs may update this Privacy Policy when Rintelligence's data practices or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the latest published version.
