Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-04

This privacy policy applies to the Resume Builder app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Henrikh Harutyunyan (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

In short: the resumes you create are stored on your device. The Service Provider does not run its own servers and does not receive your resumes. Some data is processed by the third-party services listed below (AI text generation, analytics, crash reporting, advertising and payments).

Information Collection and Use

Information you enter

To build a resume you may enter your name, profession, photo, email address, phone number, website, address, work history, education, skills, languages, interests, projects and references (names and contact details of other people). This information is stored only in the Application's private storage on your device. PDF files you export are saved to your device's Downloads folder and can be shared only by you.

If you add references, please make sure the people you list agree to share their contact details in your resume.

Photo and camera

You can add a profile photo with the camera (the camera permission is requested only when you choose to take a photo) or from your gallery using the Android system photo picker. The Application does not get access to the rest of your photo library. The photo is stored on your device, is placed only into the resumes and PDFs you create, and is never uploaded by the Application.

Information collected automatically

The Application uses third-party services that may automatically collect information, such as:

• your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address);
• device model, operating system version, app version, language and approximate country/region (derived from the IP address);
• the screens of the Application you visit, the features you use and the time spent in the Application;
• app instance and installation identifiers, the Android Advertising ID (where available) and a push-notification token;
• crash reports and diagnostic information (device state at the time of a crash).

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

The Application does not require an account and does not ask for your contact list, SMS, call logs or precise location.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

The Application offers optional AI features: generating a resume draft, writing or improving a summary, job responsibilities, education and project descriptions, and tailoring a resume to a job posting. These features are provided through the OpenAI API (OpenAI, L.L.C., USA).

When you use an AI feature, the Application sends to OpenAI only the information needed for that request: the text you typed or asked to improve, the job posting or target role you entered, and the content of your resume without your name, photo, email address, phone number, website, address and references. Please do not type personal contact details into the text fields you send to AI.

According to OpenAI's API data usage policies, data sent through the API is not used to train OpenAI's models and may be retained by OpenAI for up to 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring, after which it is deleted unless required by law. See the OpenAI Privacy Policy (https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy/) and OpenAI API data privacy (https://openai.com/enterprise-privacy/).

AI-generated text may be inaccurate or incomplete. Please review it before using it in your resume.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are sold and processed by Google Play. The Service Provider does not receive or store your payment card details. The Application receives from Google Play only the information needed to unlock Pro features: the product you purchased, the subscription status and a purchase token.

Advertising

The free version of the Application shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use the Advertising ID, IP address and information about your device and your interaction with ads to show and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted by law. Pro subscribers do not see ads. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ads personalization in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads on some devices).

Third Party Access

The Service Provider does not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the following service providers, which process it on behalf of the Service Provider or under their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services, Google Play Billing, In-App Updates and In-App Review — App distribution, subscriptions, updates and ratings. Privacy policy: Google (https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/)
• AdMob — Advertising in the free version. Privacy policy: AdMob (https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543?hl=en)
• Google Analytics for Firebase — Usage statistics to improve the Application. Privacy policy: Firebase (https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy)
• Firebase Crashlytics — Crash reports and stability. Privacy policy: Firebase (https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy/)
• Firebase Remote Config and Firebase Cloud Messaging — Remote app settings and push notifications. Privacy policy: Firebase (https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy/)
• OpenAI API — AI text generation (only when you use an AI feature). Privacy policy: OpenAI (https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy/)

The Service Provider may also disclose information:

• as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process;
• when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.

These service providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States.

Legal Bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, information is processed: to provide the features you request (performance of a contract), including AI features you choose to use; for analytics, crash reporting and service security (legitimate interests in keeping the Application working and improving it); and for personalized advertising, on the basis of your consent where it is required.

Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network. You can also:

• not use the AI features, so that nothing is sent to OpenAI;
• turn off notifications in the Android settings;
• reset or delete your Advertising ID and opt out of ads personalization in the Android settings.

Data Retention Policy

• Resumes, photos and settings stay on your device until you delete them in the Application or uninstall it. Exported PDF files stay in your Downloads folder until you delete them.
• Data sent to OpenAI is kept by OpenAI for up to 30 days, as described above.
• Analytics data is kept by Google Analytics for Firebase for up to 14 months; crash reports are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days.

If you'd like the Service Provider to delete data collected through the services above, please contact them at henrikhharutyunyan1998@gmail.com and they will respond in a reasonable time. Because the Application has no accounts, the Service Provider may ask for details that help identify your installation.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict its processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The Service Provider does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact the Service Provider at the email below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

The Application is intended for adults and job seekers and is not directed to children. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age (under 16 in the EEA). If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider at henrikhharutyunyan1998@gmail.com so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

Security

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Your resumes are kept in the Application's private storage, which other apps cannot access, and all connections to the third-party services above are encrypted (HTTPS). However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Keep your device protected with a screen lock and do not root or jailbreak it.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy and the new effective date. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

Your Consent

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by the Service Provider.

Contact Us

If you have any questions regarding privacy while using the Application, or have questions about the practices, please contact the Service Provider via email at henrikhharutyunyan1998@gmail.com.
