# Privacy Policy for Quitful

**Last updated: July 1, 2026**

This Privacy Policy explains how **Quitful** ("we", "us", "our", or "the App"), developed by **nurungg**, handles information when you use our mobile application. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

## Summary

Quitful is a habit-tracking app that helps you quit or cut back on habits. The information you create in the App — the habits you track, your progress, and your settings — is stored **only on your device**. We do not operate servers that collect this information, we do not require you to create an account, and we cannot see your data. The App does show third-party advertisements (Google AdMob), and Google collects certain device and usage information to serve those ads, as described below.

## Information We Collect

### 1. Information stored on your device

The App lets you create and track "quit" habits along with related details such as start dates, streaks, estimated money saved, and app preferences (language, theme, reminder time). This information is stored locally on your device using Android's on-device storage and is **not transmitted to us or to any server we control**. We have no access to it. If you uninstall the App or clear its data, this information is permanently deleted from your device.

### 2. Information collected by our advertising partner (Google AdMob)

The App displays advertisements provided by **Google AdMob**. To serve, limit, and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and process certain information, which can include:

- device advertising identifiers (for example, the Google Advertising ID);

- IP address and coarse (non-precise) location derived from it;

- device information such as model, operating system version, and language;

- ad interaction and app-usage data used to deliver, personalize, cap, and measure ads.

This information is collected directly by Google, not by us. Google's handling of this information is governed by Google's own policies:

- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

### 3. Consent for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

For users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent request before serving personalized ads, in line with applicable law. Where available, you can change or withdraw your consent at any time from within the App.

## What We Do NOT Collect

- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or precise (GPS) location.

- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

- We do not sell your personal information.

- We do not have accounts, logins, or cloud storage of your habit data.

## Permissions the App Uses

- **Internet / network access** — required to load advertisements.

- **Notifications** — used only to show the optional daily reminder you turn on in Settings. Reminders are generated locally on your device; no notification content is sent to us.

- **Run at startup (receive boot completed)** — used only to re-schedule your local reminder after the device restarts.

## How Information Is Used

- On-device data is used solely to provide the App's features to you (habit tracking, statistics, reminders, home-screen widget).

- Advertising data is used by Google to deliver, cap, and measure ads.

## Data Sharing

We do not share your on-device habit data with anyone, because we do not collect it. The only data sharing that occurs is between the App and Google AdMob for advertising, as described above.

## Your Choices

- **Ad personalization:** You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in your device settings (on Android: **Settings → Google → Ads**).

- **Consent (EEA/UK/CH):** You can withdraw advertising consent as described above.

- **Reminders:** You can turn reminders on or off at any time in the App's Settings.

- **Delete your data:** Uninstalling the App or clearing its data removes all locally stored information.

## Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has interacted with ads in the App, you can limit ad tracking through your device's settings.

## Data Security

On-device data is protected by Android's application sandbox. Because the App does not transmit your habit data off your device, the main safeguard is your device's own security (lock screen, encryption). No method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

## Data Retention

On-device information is retained until you delete it by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App. Advertising data is retained by Google according to Google's own policies.

## Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
