Privacy Policy for Pypets

This Privacy Policy explains how okystudio (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you use the Pypets mobile application and related widget / Live Activity features (collectively, the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Summary
You can use Pypets without creating an account. Sign in with Apple is optional and is mainly used for iCloud sync across your devices.
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs in the App.
You can delete your account in the App (Profile → Delete Account) or contact us by email.
Most data stays on your device. If you sign in and use iCloud, pet data is stored in your Apple iCloud account via CloudKit.
Information We Collect
1. Information you provide (optional account)
If you choose Sign in with Apple, we may receive and store:

We only receive name and email when Apple provides them, usually on first sign-in. Apple may hide your real email using Hide My Email.
You do not need an account to adopt pets, care for them, use widgets, or access core App features.
2. App and game data
Whether or not you sign in, the App stores on your device:
Adopted pets, pet names, stats, moods, and activity history
App preferences (for example haptics, notifications, Dynamic Island / Live Activity settings)
Onboarding and local app state
Pet names and gameplay data are generally not personally identifying on their own, but you should avoid entering real personal information as a pet name if you prefer not to.
If you are signed in and iCloud is available, this data may be synced to your private iCloud using Apple CloudKit. We do not operate our own cloud servers for pet data.
3. Widget and Live Activity data
To show your pet on the Home Screen widget or in Dynamic Island / Live Activity, a snapshot of your active pet (name, species, mood, health, and similar display fields) may be stored in an App Group shared container on your device between the App and its extensions.
4. Notifications
If you enable notifications, the App may schedule local reminders on your device (for example daily pet-care reminders). We do not send marketing push notifications from our own servers.
5. Profile avatars (third party)
The App may load profile avatars from DiceBear (api.dicebear.com) over HTTPS. To generate an avatar, the App sends a seed value (which may be derived from your display name, email, or account identifier) and image size parameters. DiceBear’s handling of that request is governed by DiceBear’s terms and policies.
If avatar loading fails, the App shows a locally generated fallback avatar.
6. Information we do not collect
We do not:
Require registration to use core features
Collect precise location
Use AI to process your personal data
Run our own analytics or advertising platforms
Knowingly collect data for cross-app tracking
Collect payment card details (the App does not sell subscriptions or in-app purchases through our own payment system as described in this policy)
We do not operate a website login inside the App that collects browser cookies for analytics.
How We Use Information
We use information only to:
Provide and operate the App (pets, widgets, Live Activities, settings)
Optionally sync your data to your iCloud when you are signed in
Display your profile and avatar
Send local notifications you opt into
Maintain security and fix bugs
Comply with law
We do not use your data for:
Selling or renting personal data
Cross-context behavioral advertising
Unsolicited marketing email or SMS
Legal Bases (EEA / UK / Switzerland — GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on:

You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (for example by turning off notifications or signing out).
Third Parties and Processors
We do not share your personal data with advertisers. Limited processing involves:

We do not control Apple’s or DiceBear’s independent processing. Pet data in iCloud is stored in your private CloudKit database tied to your Apple ID.
International Transfers
We are based in Turkey. If you use the App from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or other regions, your data may be processed in Turkey and on Apple’s and DiceBear’s infrastructure in other countries.
Where GDPR requires safeguards for transfers, we rely on appropriate mechanisms such as Apple’s data protection terms for CloudKit / Sign in with Apple and standard contractual safeguards where applicable.

When you Delete Account in the App, we delete local account credentials, local pet data, and attempt to delete your iCloud pet backup associated with the App.
Your Choices and Rights
In the App
Use without an account: Tap Continue without account on first launch.
Sign in / sign out: Profile → Sign in with Apple or Sign Out.
Delete account: Profile → Delete Account → confirm. This permanently deletes your account data, local pets, and iCloud pet backup for the App.
Reset data while staying signed in: Settings → Reset All Data.
Notifications: Settings → toggle notifications.
Stop all collection on device: Uninstall the App.
GDPR / UK GDPR rights
If GDPR applies, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability, and to withdraw consent. Contact sdnz.asln13@gmail.com. We respond within one month, extendable where permitted by law.

California (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents may request to know, delete, or correct personal information we collect. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Contact sdnz.asln13@gmail.com to exercise your rights.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
In the EEA/UK, if you are under the age at which digital consent is required in your country (often 16, or 13–15 depending on member state), you should use the App only with a parent or guardian’s permission where required by law.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to a mobile app, including storing credentials in the Keychain and relying on Apple’s CloudKit security for cloud sync. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Data Breaches
If we become aware of a personal data breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify the relevant supervisory authority and, where required, affected users in accordance with applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the new version with an updated Last updated date. Material changes may be communicated in the App or by other appropriate means where required by law.
