## Plain English Summary
PryIt scans price tags and calculates what you'll actually pay at checkout. Here's what you need to know:

## 1. How PryIt Processes Your Scans
### Default Mode: Cloud AI Processing (Online)
When you scan a price tag, PryIt sends the image to **Google Gemini** (Google's AI service) for analysis. This provides the best accuracy for reading prices, discounts, and deals.
**What is sent:**
- The cropped price tag image only
- No device identifiers
- No location data
- No personal information
**What happens to your image:**
- Sent via encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS)
- Processed in real-time by Google Gemini
- **Not stored** by PryIt or retained by Google beyond processing
- Results returned to your device immediately
**Why we do this:**
AI vision models read complex price tags (handwritten prices, multi-buy deals, foreign currencies) far more accurately than on-device text recognition alone.
### Offline Mode: Device-Only Processing
You can disable cloud processing at any time:
**Settings -> Smart Scan -> OFF**
When disabled:
- All processing happens entirely on your device
- No images ever leave your phone
- Uses on-device text recognition (ML Kit)
- Works without any internet connection
- May be less accurate for complex tags

PryIt stores the following **locally on your device only**:

## 5. What PryIt Does NOT Do
We believe in being explicit about what we don't do:
- **No accounts** - No sign-up, login, or user profiles
- **No image storage** - Your scans are never saved to any server
- **No GPS location tracking** - Country is auto-detected from device locale (language setting), not GPS
- **No analytics** - No Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar
- **No advertising** - No ads, no ad SDKs, no ad tracking
- **No data sales** - We don't sell or share data with third parties
- **No purchase tracking** - We don't know what you buy or where
- **No behavioral profiling** - No AI models trained on your usage
