This Privacy Policy applies to the ProMAS app (hereinafter referred to as the "Application") for mobile devices, developed by the Department of Labor and Employment Region XI (hereinafter referred to as the "Service Provider") as a free service. The Application is provided "AS IS."
User Accounts
Users cannot create an account within the Application. Instead, login credentials are provided based on employee information, including full name, work email, contact number, and ID number.
Information Collection and Use
The Application does not collect personal information when downloaded or used. Specifically:
- The Application does not gather precise location data from your mobile device.
- The Application does not collect or store device location data.
However, for a better experience, the Service Provider may require certain personally identifiable information, such as work email and other relevant employee details. This information will be retained and used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Third-Party Access
Only aggregated and anonymized data may be shared periodically with external services to enhance the Application's performance and functionality. The Service Provider may share information with third parties as described in this Privacy Policy, including but not limited to:
- Compliance with legal obligations (e.g., subpoenas, law enforcement requests);
- Protection of rights, safety, and prevention of fraud;
- Collaboration with trusted service providers who assist in the operation of the Application, under strict data protection agreements.

Opt-Out Rights
Users can stop all information collection by uninstalling the Application using standard uninstall methods available on their mobile devices or app marketplaces.
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain user-provided data for as long as the user actively uses the Application and for a reasonable period thereafter. Users may request data deletion by contacting the Service Provider at p.eslawan.484738@umindanao.edu.ph. Requests will be processed within a reasonable timeframe.
Children’s Privacy
The Application is not intended for children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If such data is discovered, it will be immediately deleted. Parents or guardians who become aware of any unauthorized data collection should contact p.eslawan.484738@umindanao.edu.ph to request deletion.
Security
The Service Provider prioritizes the security and confidentiality of user information by implementing physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect data processed and maintained within the Application.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page, and users are encouraged to review the Privacy Policy regularly. Continued use of the Application after updates signifies acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
