This Privacy Policy explains how OpenSky Track handles information when you use the app.

1. Overview

OpenSky Track is an offline GNSS/GPS utility app. The app is designed to help users view GNSS position, fix quality, satellite visibility, orientation-related information, speed, altitude, accuracy, and offline map context.

OpenSky Track does not require an account and does not provide cloud-based services.

2. Data the App Uses

OpenSky Track uses the following data on your device:
• Precise location
• Approximate location
• Device orientation / sensor data

This data is used only to provide the app’s core functionality, including:
• showing your current or last-known position
• showing altitude, speed, and horizontal accuracy
• showing GNSS fix state
• showing satellites visible and satellites used in fix
• showing sky plot / satellite orientation information
• supporting device orientation and optional aiming guidance

3. Data Collection and Sharing

OpenSky Track does not collect personal data on servers operated by the developer.

OpenSky Track does not send your location data, sensor data, or personal data to the developer or to third parties.

OpenSky Track does not currently include:
• advertising SDKs
• analytics SDKs
• crash reporting SDKs
• social login
• cloud sync
• account creation

4. Data Stored on Your Device

OpenSky Track stores only limited app preferences locally on your device, such as:
• speed unit
• altitude unit
• distance unit
• whether aiming guidance is enabled

These settings are used only to remember your preferences inside the app.

5. Android System Backup

Depending on your Android device settings, some local app data such as preferences may be included in Android system backup functionality.

This backup behavior is controlled by Android and your device settings, not by a server operated by the developer.

6. Internet and Network Use

OpenSky Track is designed to function offline for its core GNSS/GPS features.

The app does not rely on a user account or cloud service to provide its main functionality.

7. Children’s Privacy

OpenSky Track is not specifically directed to children under 13.

The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

8. Security

Because OpenSky Track does not transmit user data to the developer, most app data remains on your device.

However, no method of electronic storage or device backup can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any updates will be reflected in the updated policy made available for the app.
