Privacy Policy for BurnPace
Effective Date: March 30, 2026
1. Data Accessed and Collected To function as a habit tracker and process premium features, BurnPace accesses and processes the following data:
Locally Stored App Data: The application accesses and saves the user's habit logs, smoking timestamps, mood entries, and application settings. This data is strictly stored locally on the physical device and is never transmitted to external servers.
Financial and Purchase Data: The application utilizes Google Play Billing to process the one-time in-app purchase. Google Play securely collects and processes the user's payment information, purchase history, and transaction receipts. BurnPace does not collect, store, or have access to raw payment details (such as credit card numbers). The application only receives a secure, anonymous purchase status token from Google to unlock premium features.
2. How Data is Used
Local Data: Used exclusively on the user's device to calculate recovery timelines, track financial savings, trigger local notification reminders, and display the progress dashboard.
Purchase Data: Used by Google Play to process the transaction, prevent fraud, and manage the user's lifetime access entitlement.
3. Data Sharing and Third Parties BurnPace does not share, sell, or disclose local habit data to any third parties, advertising networks, or analytics providers. The only third-party service integrated into the application is Google Play Services (Billing), which operates under Google's own privacy policy to securely handle the financial transaction.
4. Data Retention and Deletion BurnPace operates without external servers and does not allow users to create an account. Therefore, there are no remote user accounts or server-side data to delete.
The user retains complete control over their local data retention:
Deleting Local App Data: The user can instantly and permanently delete all habit logs, settings, and progress by navigating to the device's Settings > Apps > BurnPace > Storage and selecting Clear Data, or simply by uninstalling the application.
Deleting Purchase Data: Because purchase history is tied to the user's global Google Account (via Google Play Billing), managing or deleting transaction history must be done directly through the user's global Google Account settings.
