Welcome to the Pofu app. At Pofu, we attach great importance to the privacy of children and their families. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we protect it, and how we use it when you use our application. By using our application, you are deemed to have accepted the terms outlined in this policy.
1. Collected Data and Purpose of Use
Pofu collects only the limited data necessary to provide you with the best service:
Identity Information: Your email address and first/last name when you sign in with Google or Apple. This information is used solely for account creation, authentication, and subscription management.
In-App Preferences: Your favorite stories, listening history, and in-app progress. This data is collected to provide you with a personalized and seamless user experience.
Payment Data: Subscription transactions are processed directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store infrastructures. Your credit card or financial information is never seen, collected, or stored by us.
2. Data Storage and Security
To improve the user experience and manage subscription processes, your data is stored securely and encrypted on Google Firebase, one of the world's most secure cloud infrastructures. This data is used to ensure that the application performs its core functions and to synchronize your access to content across devices.
3. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Usage
Artificial intelligence technologies are used in the production of stories, visuals, and voiceovers in our application. During this process, no voice recordings, images, names, or personal data of our users or children are ever used to train artificial intelligence models. The content is generated entirely by independent and anonymous algorithms.
4. Children's Privacy and Parental Control
Although Pofu offers content designed for children, the app installation, registration, and payment steps must be performed directly by an adult (parent or legal guardian) over the age of 18. Pofu does not intend to collect data directly from children. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal data without the consent of their legal guardian, please contact us immediately; this data will be permanently deleted from our systems.
5. Data Sharing
Your personal data is never sold, rented, or marketed to third parties for advertising purposes. Your data may only be shared under legal obligations with official authorities or limited by contracts with reliable service providers (e.g., Google Firebase) that provide the technical infrastructure of the application.
6. User Rights and Data Deletion
Our users have full control over their data. At any time, you can:
Permanently delete your account from the in-app settings menu.
Request the complete deletion or export of your personal data.
