QUICK START

First 5 minutes

1. Finish the welcome slides (first launch).
2. Allow WLAN / Cellular if iOS asks — home waits for CloudKit, then loads.
3. Open Loads and review sample consignments — or create your own.
4. Log a temperature under Temps.
5. Upload a seal or loading photo under Photos.
6. Complete remaining items in Ops → Pre-trip walkthrough.

Sample data appears only on first launch. Replace it with your real records.

HOME

HTML entry

The Home tab loads after network + CloudKit configuration. Depending on CloudKit pageTitle:

• Not Online Help — remote help URL becomes the home page.
• Exactly Online Help — local HTML home + Online Help button.

Local home shows live metrics, breach banner, shortcuts into Loads / Temps / Photos / Ops, and a link to this help page. Native SwiftUI Deck remains available from Home or Ops.

LOADS

Refrigerated consignments

1. Open Loads and tap +.
2. Enter code, origin, and destination.
3. Pick cargo type and shipment phase.
4. Confirm min / max temperature in °C.
5. Optionally assign a reefer, add notes, then Save.

Cargo defaults (°C)

Phases: Drafting → Loading → In Transit → Delivered → Closed. Search by code / city / cargo; filter by phase.

TEMPS

Probe temperature ledger

1. Open Temps and tap +.
2. Select the consignment.
3. Enter temperature in Celsius.
4. Add a probe / location note (optional).
5. Save — values outside the load window show BREACH.

ChillRoute is a field logbook, not a certified telematics substitute.

PHOTOS

Evidence gallery

1. Tap + or Upload photo.
2. Choose consignment and evidence type.
3. Take a photo or choose from the library.
4. Add an optional caption, then Save.

Images stay in the app sandbox; metadata is stored with UserDefaults.

OPS

Operations hub

• Pre-trip walkthrough — departure checklist (power, seals, probes, segregation, evidence, contacts, drains, load plan).
• Reefer fleet — plate, nickname, setpoint, capacity; assign to loads.
• Shift summary — counts and shareable text report.
• Preferences — profile, °C/°F, erase local data; Online Help when CloudKit title is “Online Help”.

WORKFLOW

Recommended shift order

1. Confirm reefers in Ops → Fleet.
2. Create / open the load with the correct cargo window.
3. Complete the pre-trip walkthrough.
4. Capture seal + loading (+ cabin gauge) photos.
5. Log temps in transit; watch the Home breach banner.
6. Add delivery proof and update phase to Delivered / Closed.
7. Share the shift summary when handing off.

What ChillRoute is

An offline cold-chain logistics toolkit for consignments, temperature samples, reefer details, pre-trip checks, and evidence photographs.

Data storage

Operational records use UserDefaults. Evidence images live in the app sandbox. Optional CloudKit Public Database is used only for the help URL configuration — shipment data is not uploaded to ChillRoute servers.

Camera & photo library

Requested only when you capture or attach evidence. Revoke anytime in iOS Settings.

No advertising tracking

No ad SDKs, no sale of personal information, no cross-app tracking.

Your controls

Edit or delete records in-app. Use Ops → Preferences → Erase all local data to wipe this device.

Purpose

Local field toolkit for refrigerated logistics — not a real-time telematics network or certified monitoring substitute.

Accurate records

You are responsible for accurate probe values, load details, and evidence. First-launch sample data is for demonstration only.

Device storage

Clearing app data, uninstalling, or erasing local data permanently removes records and photos on that device.

Acceptable use

Do not misrepresent compliance, fabricate evidence, or manipulate ratings.
