Nemesis Games ("we," "us," or "our") operates the PetScope mobile application (the "App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data of our users ("you" or "your").
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Our core philosophy is "Offline First."
1. Data Controller
For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Data Controller is:

2. Information We Do NOT Collect
To provide complete transparency, we explicitly state what we do not collect:
No Cloud Storage: We do not host a backend server. We cannot see, access, or restore your data.
No Account Registration: You do not need to create an account or provide an email address to use the App.
No Analytics: We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, or other behavior tracking software in the current version.
No Data Selling: We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal identification information to others.
3. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The App collects and stores the following data solely within your device's internal memory to function:

Important Privacy Feature (No Cloud Backups):
We have explicitly disabled the Android Auto-Backup feature (allowBackup="false"). This means your pet data is never uploaded to Google Drive or iCloud by our App. It remains strictly on your physical device. Note: If you uninstall the App, this data is permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
4. Permissions & Device Access
We request the minimum permissions necessary to provide the App's core functionality:
Camera: Used only if you choose to take a new photo for your pet's profile.
Storage / Photos: Used only if you choose to select an existing photo from your gallery.
Notifications: Used only to schedule local alerts (e.g., "Daily Horoscope"). These are generated by the App on your device; no remote server triggers them.
5. Support Data (Email)
If you contact us via email (e.g., for bug reports or suggestions) using the contact links in the App:
Collection: We receive your email address and the content of your message.
Storage: Emails are stored in our support inbox (hosted by Google Gmail).
Purpose: We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry.
Retention: Support emails are retained for up to 2 years or until the issue is resolved, after which they are deleted.
6. Application Updates
The App may communicate with the Google Play Store or Apple App Store servers to check for available updates. This process is governed by the respective store's privacy policy and may involve the transmission of standard technical data (such as your device's IP address) to Google or Apple, but not your personal pet data.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our App is safe for all ages (rated IARC 3+). However, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since all data is stored locally on the device, there is no risk of a child's data being transmitted to our servers.
8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Since we do not possess your data on our servers, you have full direct control:
Access & Correction: You can view and edit all pet details directly within the App.
Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You can delete a pet profile within the App or uninstall the App to permanently remove all data from your device.
California Residents: We do not "sell" or "share" your personal information as defined by the CCPA.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
