Summary
PDF All Tools does your PDF work on your device. We do not run a server, we have no user accounts, and we never receive, see, or store the documents you open or create. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no tracking in this app.
Documents and images you use in the app
When you pick a PDF, choose a photo, or scan a page with the camera, the file is read and processed entirely on your device.
- Processing happens locally. Merging, splitting, converting, compressing, signing, annotating, encrypting, and every other tool runs inside the app on your phone.
- Files you save stay in the app's private storage on your device (a pdf-tools folder in the app's document directory). Other apps cannot read it.
- Temporary previews are written to a private cache folder and cleared each time the app starts.
- Nothing is uploaded. The app has no upload feature and no server to upload to.
- Passwords you type to lock, unlock, or change the password on a PDF are used in memory for that single operation and are not saved anywhere.
You control these files. Deleting a file in the app, or uninstalling the app, removes them from your device.
Information stored on your device
The app saves a small amount of state in its own private storage:

This information never leaves your device. You can clear the file history from within the app, and uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
Information we collect
None. We do not collect, receive, or store any personal information. We have no way to identify you, and we do not build profiles, serve ads, or share or sell data — because we never have it in the first place.
Third-party services
The app itself does not send your data anywhere, but three ordinary platform services are involved and are worth naming.
Apple App Store / Google Play (in-app purchases). If you buy Premium, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple or Google. They process your payment and give the app a purchase receipt so it can confirm your entitlement. We never see your payment details. Their handling of that transaction is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
Expo / EAS Update (app updates). The app checks for over-the-air updates from Expo's update service. That request reveals to Expo the ordinary technical details of any network request: your IP address, device platform and version, and which app version you are running. No document content or personal information is sent. See Expo's Privacy Policy.
Apps you share or print to. When you use Share or Print, you choose the destination — email, cloud storage, a messaging app, a printer. Once the file leaves via that share sheet, it is handled by that app or service under its own privacy policy, not ours.
Device permissions
The app asks for a permission only at the moment a feature needs it, and you can decline or revoke it in your device settings.
- Camera — to scan a physical document into a PDF. Images go straight into your PDF; no photo or video is transmitted.
- Photo library — only for photos you explicitly select to convert to PDF or use as a signature. The app cannot browse your library on its own.
- Files / documents — to open the PDFs, Word, or Excel files you pick, and to open PDFs you send to the app from other apps.
The app explicitly blocks microphone and broad external-storage access. It does not request location, contacts, or your advertising identifier.
Children's privacy
PDF All Tools is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and deletion
We hold no data, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Everything the app stores is on your device and under your control: clear your file history in Settings, delete individual files in My Files, or uninstall the app to remove everything at once.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request — and no data to sell, which means there is nothing to opt out of. Your on-device data is directly accessible and deletable by you at any time.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
