Organize My Life ("we", "us", or "the app") is a personal organizer application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Data You Create

The app allows you to create and manage personal content including quick notes, quotes, albums (photos and videos), birthdays, lists, diary entries, appointments, and recipes. All of this data is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. We do not upload, transmit, or store your personal content on any external server or cloud service unless you explicitly use the backup/export feature.

Photos and Videos

When you upload photos or videos to an album, the app accesses your device's media library with your permission. These files remain on your device and are not uploaded to any server.

Camera Access

The app may request access to your device's camera for scanning recipes. Camera images used for recipe extraction are sent to a third-party AI service (OpenAI) for text extraction processing. These images are processed in real time and are not stored by us. Please refer to OpenAI's privacy policy for their data handling practices.

Notifications

The app may request permission to send local push notifications for birthday reminders and appointment reminders. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to external servers.

Speech-to-Text

The diary feature offers speech-to-text input using your device's built-in speech recognition. Audio is processed by your device's operating system and is not sent to our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely to provide the app's features to you. Specifically:

• To display, organize, and search your notes, albums, appointments, diary entries, lists, birthdays, and recipes.
• To send you local reminders for birthdays and appointments when you enable them.
• To extract recipe content from images or files you submit for processing.
• To fetch webpage content when you save a bookmark URL.

3. Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

OpenAI API — Used for AI-powered recipe extraction from images and files. When you scan a recipe or import a recipe file, the content is sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI's privacy policy governs their handling of this data.

The app does not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics services, or tracking tools.

4. Data Storage and Security

All your personal data (notes, diary entries, appointments, albums, birthdays, lists, recipes) is stored locally on your device. We do not maintain any server-side database of your personal content.

The diary feature supports an optional PIN or biometric lock for additional privacy on your device.

If you use the backup/export feature, a JSON file containing your data is generated on your device. You are responsible for the security of any exported backup files.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. The only exception is recipe extraction, where the content you submit (images or files) is sent to OpenAI for processing as described above.

When you use the share feature for lists, appointments, or diary entries, content is shared through your device's native sharing interface. We have no control over or access to the sharing destination you choose.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete any individual item (note, album, appointment, etc.) within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app will remove all locally stored data.

We do not retain any copy of your data on our servers.

7. Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through the app, please contact us.

8. Your Rights

Because your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. You can:

• View, edit, or delete any data within the app.
• Export all your data using the backup feature.
• Remove all data by uninstalling the app.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
