Privacy Policy for NetVault: WiFi Manager & QR Effective Date: September 23, 2026
CreatorBox Studios ("we," "us," or "our") operates the NetVault: WiFi Manager & QR mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring your personal information remains secure.
This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App. By using the App, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
NetVault is designed with a "privacy-first" architecture. The vast majority of operations occur strictly locally on your device.
A. Device Permissions & Local Data
- Location Permissions: Android requires location permissions to scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks (SSIDs), perform signal analysis, and detect nearby devices on your local network. This data is processed locally and is never sent to our servers. We do not track your physical location.
- Camera Permissions: We request camera access solely to scan existing QR codes. Images are processed locally in real-time and are never saved or transmitted.
- Biometric Data: If you enable the "Biometric Lock" for the Vault, authentication is handled entirely by your device’s operating system (Android BiometricPrompt). We do not collect, store, or have access to your fingerprint or facial recognition data.
- Network & Speed Test Data: When you run a speed test or network analysis, the App sends anonymous ping requests to public testing servers to measure latency, upload, and download speeds. This data is not tied to your personal identity.
B. Data Stored Locally (The Vault) All Wi-Fi credentials, passwords, and connection histories saved within the App’s "Vault" are stored locally in your device's encrypted storage. We have absolutely no access to your saved passwords.
2. Third-Party Services and Analytics
While we do not collect personal data on our own servers, we utilize trusted third-party SDKs to provide essential app functionalities. These services may collect certain device identifiers, crash logs, and usage data:
- Google AdMob (Advertising): We use AdMob to display ads in the free version of the App. AdMob may collect and use your device’s Advertising ID and usage data to serve personalized advertisements. You can opt-out of personalized ads in your Android device settings.
- Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- RevenueCat (In-App Purchases): We use RevenueCat to process premium subscriptions. RevenueCat securely manages transaction histories and purchase validation. They do not have access to your credit card information.
- RevenueCat Privacy Policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
- Google Play Services / Firebase Analytics: We use these services to monitor app performance, track crashes, and understand user engagement (e.g., how many users open the tools tab). This helps us improve the app. This data is aggregated and anonymized.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
Because NetVault does not require you to create an account, and we do not store your data on our servers, you are in complete control of your data.
- To delete your data: Simply uninstall the App from your device or clear the App's data in your Android settings. This will instantly and permanently delete all your saved Wi-Fi passwords and settings.
4. Children's Privacy
Our App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will immediately delete it.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
