Summary Of Changes

This version updates the policy to describe the current advertising, analytics, local notifications, Android backup/restore behavior, and autoclicker-guard behavior. In particular:

- the app shows rewarded ads and limited interstitial ads through CleverAdsSolutions (CAS.ai) and its mediation partners;
- Firebase Analytics may log gameplay and advertising-related events, such as ad views and reward outcomes;
- local notifications may remind players about offline rewards and completed laboratory research;
- Android's backup and restore system may back up and restore some local app data if device backup is enabled by the user and backup is allowed for the app;
- the app includes a soft local autoclicker guard on Android;
- on Android 12 and newer, the app may use HIDE_OVERLAY_WINDOWS to prevent non-system overlay windows from being drawn over the game;
- the in-game Settings screen contains a privacy policy button and an ad consent/settings button where supported.

Data We Collect

Murder Drones: Cat Clicker is designed as a simple mobile game.

We do not require account registration. We do not ask players to create a username, password, or profile. We do not ask players to provide their name, email address, password, precise location, contacts, photos, messages, or similar personal information.

We do not operate our own backend server for player accounts, cloud saves, online leaderboards, or multiplayer services in the current version. Our third-party providers, including Google Firebase and the CAS.ai advertising platform and its mediation partners, operate their own services and process data as described below.

The app may process local gameplay data stored on the user's device, such as game progress, in-game currency balances, upgrades, laboratory research progress, statistics, language settings, music settings, sound settings, notification settings, visual preferences, ad reward state, and other local gameplay flags.

On supported Android devices, Android's backup and restore system may back up and restore some local app data, such as game progress and settings, if device backup is enabled by the user and backup is allowed for the app. This backup is handled by Android/Google through the user's Google Account and is not an Abyss Moth player account, cloud save, online leaderboard, or multiplayer service. The user can manage device backup in Android device settings.

The current version uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics by Google. Firebase Analytics helps us understand basic app usage, such as app opens, sessions, app version, device and operating system information, language or region information, gameplay events such as purchases/unlocks/upgrades inside the game, and advertising-related gameplay events such as whether an ad was shown, completed, failed, or granted a reward. Firebase Crashlytics helps us find and fix crashes by collecting crash reports and diagnostic information, such as stack traces, app version, device model, operating system version, crash time, diagnostic logs, and custom diagnostic keys.

The current version shows ads. To provide and measure ads, the advertising SDK and its partners may process the device advertising identifier and related technical data, as described in the Advertising section below.

Advertising

The app is free and supported by ads. We use CleverAdsSolutions (CAS.ai) as our ad mediation platform. CAS works with multiple third-party ad networks ("mediation partners") to select and serve ads.

Ad formats used:

- rewarded ads, which are optional ads that the player chooses to watch in exchange for an in-game reward;
- interstitial ads, which are full-screen ads shown at natural breaks. In the current design, interstitial ads are limited and are intended to appear only a small number of times during gameplay, currently up to three times for a player/save.

To select, deliver, cap, measure, and protect ads against fraud, the advertising SDK and its mediation partners may collect and process technical data such as: the device advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID / AAID), app-set ID and similar identifiers, IP address, approximate (coarse) location derived from IP or network information, device and operating system information, app information, and ad interaction and performance data.

Ad personalization: In regions that require user consent, such as the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app shows a consent request before any personalized advertising. If you do not provide consent, you may still see non-personalized or contextual ads. In other regions, ads may be personalized subject to applicable settings and your device choices.

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. The advertising SDK is configured as non-child-directed.

Consent And Privacy Choices

We use the consent flow provided by CAS.ai together with the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request and record user consent where required by law. The consent request is shown automatically when required.

You can open the privacy policy from the in-game Settings screen. You can also review or change advertising consent choices from the in-game Settings screen through the ad settings/consent option when the consent manager is available in the current build and region.

You can also reset or limit your device advertising identifier in your Android device settings.

US State Privacy

We do not sell personal information for money. Some sharing of advertising identifiers and related data with ad partners for advertising purposes may be considered "sharing" or "sale" under certain US state privacy laws. You can limit personalized advertising by resetting or limiting your device advertising identifier in your device settings and through the consent options where they are available.

Local Storage And Android Backup

The app may save gameplay data locally on the user's device. This local data remains on the user's device and may be deleted if the user uninstalls the app or clears the app data through the operating system.

The app also stores small local settings and flags for some features, such as notification preferences and autoclicker-guard warning state. These local files are used by the game itself and are not player accounts.

Notifications

If notifications are enabled, the app may use the device notification system to remind the player about in-game progress or rewards. Current notification types may include offline reward storage and completed laboratory research. These notifications are scheduled locally on the device and do not require sending personal data to our servers.

On Android versions that require notification permission, the app may ask the operating system for permission to show notifications. You can turn notifications off in the app settings or in your device settings.

Autoclicker Guard

The Android version may include a soft local autoclicker guard. This feature is intended to protect game balance and gently ask players to turn off automated clicking tools. It is not used to ban players.

The autoclicker guard may locally check whether specific known autoclicker package IDs are installed and whether accessibility services from those known packages are enabled. The app does not request the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission, does not request package usage access, and does not collect the full list of installed applications. The app declares specific package queries in the Android manifest so Android can answer checks for those specific package IDs. On Android 12 and newer, the app may also use HIDE_OVERLAY_WINDOWS to prevent non-system overlay windows from being drawn over the game; this does not collect additional personal data.

The autoclicker guard may also analyze click timing and click positions locally to detect highly automated click patterns. The feature may store small local flags such as whether a warning was shown and when it was last shown. Autoclicker-guard state is processed locally on the device and is not sent to our servers. We do not use this feature to upload a player's installed app list.

Firebase Analytics And Crashlytics

Firebase may process technical identifiers and diagnostic data needed to provide its services, such as app instance identifiers, Firebase installation identifiers, device and app information, usage events, crash logs, and coarse location information derived from network data. Firebase data is processed by Google according to Google's policies and Firebase terms.

Firebase Analytics is configured for app analytics and stability diagnostics, not for advertising personalization by us. Advertising is provided separately by the CAS.ai advertising SDK described in the Advertising section, which may use the device advertising identifier to serve and measure ads.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

- Firebase Analytics, provided by Google LLC, for app usage analytics.
- Firebase Crashlytics, provided by Google LLC, for crash reporting and stability diagnostics.
- CleverAdsSolutions (CAS.ai), as the advertising mediation platform.
- Ad mediation partners served through CAS. Depending on availability and region, these may include Google AdMob, AppLovin, Unity Ads, ironSource, Liftoff Monetize (Vungle), InMobi, Mintegral, Pangle, BIGO Ads, Yango Ads, Meta Audience Network, YSO Network, and other partners. The current list of CAS mediation partners and links to their privacy policies are available from CAS.ai.

Google Play may also process data according to Google's own policies when users download, install, update, review, or otherwise interact with the app through Google Play.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data for money. We do not share personal data with third-party marketing services beyond what is needed to provide advertising through CAS.ai and its mediation partners.

We allow Google Firebase to process app analytics, crash reports, and diagnostic data as needed to provide Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics services.

We allow CAS.ai and its mediation partners to process advertising-related data, such as advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from network data, device and app information, and ad interaction data, as needed to select, serve, cap, measure, and protect ads.

Autoclicker-guard checks described above are processed locally and are not sent to our servers.

Android backup and restore, if enabled by the user and allowed for the app, is handled by Android/Google through the user's Google Account and is not an Abyss Moth player account, cloud save, online leaderboard, or multiplayer service.

Data Retention

Local game data remains on the user's device until it is deleted by the user, the app is uninstalled, or the app data is cleared through the operating system.

On supported Android devices, Android's backup and restore system may retain backed-up local app data according to the user's Android/Google backup settings. Abyss Moth does not operate this backup system and generally cannot identify a player by name, email address, or account profile.

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data is retained according to Google Firebase settings, policies, and service terms. Advertising data is retained by CAS.ai and its mediation partners according to their own policies and service terms. Because the app does not use player accounts, we generally cannot identify a player by name, email address, or account profile.

Children's Privacy

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. The advertising SDK is configured as non-child-directed, and we do not enable child-directed treatment.

We do not ask children or other players to provide names, email addresses, passwords, precise location, contacts, photos, or messages.

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, and the advertising SDK and its partners, may automatically process limited technical, usage, advertising, and crash diagnostic data as described above. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal data to us, please contact us at abyssmoth.games@gmail.com so we can review the request.

Security

Game progress and settings are stored locally on the user's device. Users should protect access to their device to help keep local data safe.

If Android backup is enabled by the user and backup is allowed for the app, some local game data may also be backed up and restored by Android/Google through the user's Google Account. Users should protect access to their Google Account and device backup settings.

Firebase data and advertising data are processed by Google, CAS.ai, and their partners using the security measures described in their respective documentation and policies.

Your Choices

- You can reset or limit your device advertising identifier in your device settings.
- You can review this privacy policy from the in-game Settings screen.
- You can review or change advertising consent from the in-game Settings screen where the ad consent form is available.
- You can enable or disable notifications in the app settings or device settings.
- You can manage Android device backup and restore in your Android device settings.
- You can clear local game data by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app. If Android backup is enabled, some data may be restored by Android/Google according to the user's device backup settings.
