MoneyTrack ("MoneyTrack", "we", "us", or "our") is a personal Borrow & Lend tracking application that helps users record money they lend or borrow, track payments, generate receipts, and manage personal ledger information.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information MoneyTrack may collect, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices available to you.
By using MoneyTrack, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information You Provide
MoneyTrack allows you to use the core application without creating an account.
Depending on the features you use, you may voluntarily provide the following information.
Person Information
When adding a person, you may provide:
Name
Phone number
Email address
Photo
Address
Notes
Only the person's name is required.
Transaction Information
You may provide:
Borrowed or lent status
Amount
Currency
Transaction date
Due date
Notes
Payment information
This information is used solely to provide the ledger functionality of the application.
Profile Information
You may optionally provide:
Your name
Profile photo or logo
Contact information
Receipt customization information
This information may be used to personalize the application and generated receipts.
2. Phone Contacts
MoneyTrack may request permission to access your device contacts when you choose to import a person from your phone contacts.
Contact access is optional.
MoneyTrack only accesses contacts when you explicitly use the contact-import feature.
Information obtained from a selected contact may include, depending on what is available on your device:
Name
Phone number
Email address
Photo
The selected information is used to populate a person record in MoneyTrack.
MoneyTrack does not require access to your contacts to use the application.
3. Photos and Camera/Photo Library
MoneyTrack may allow you to add a photo to a person profile or attach an image to a record.
Access to your camera or photo library is requested only when you use a feature that requires it.
Photos selected by you may be stored locally on your device and, if you enable Premium cloud backup, may be uploaded to our cloud storage as part of your backup.
4. Local Storage and Offline Use
MoneyTrack is designed as an offline-first application.
Your ledger information can be stored locally on your device using a local SQLite database.
Core features can be used without an internet connection.
When you use MoneyTrack without cloud backup, your ledger information remains stored locally on your device.
Because locally stored information may be lost if your device is damaged, lost, reset, or the application is removed, we recommend using the available backup features if your records are important to you.
5. Cloud Backup and Synchronization
Cloud backup is an optional Premium feature.
If you enable cloud backup, selected application data may be securely synchronized with our cloud infrastructure provided through Firebase.
This may include:
Person records
Transaction records
Payment records
Relevant profile information
Receipt customization information
Other data required to restore your MoneyTrack records
Cloud synchronization is associated with your authenticated account where authentication is required for the cloud service.
If you do not enable cloud backup, MoneyTrack does not intentionally upload your local ledger records to our cloud service for backup.
If your Premium subscription expires, your locally stored data remains available. Cloud synchronization may be paused until Premium access is restored.
6. Firebase Services
MoneyTrack may use Firebase services provided by Google, including:
Firebase Authentication
Cloud Firestore
Firebase Storage
Firebase Analytics
Firebase Crashlytics
These services may process information necessary to provide authentication, cloud backup, synchronization, analytics, and crash reporting.
Firebase services may process technical information such as:
Device information
Application version
Operating system
Crash information
Performance information
Anonymous or pseudonymous usage information
Firebase data processing is subject to Google's applicable policies and terms.
7. Advertising
The free version of MoneyTrack may display advertisements provided by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob).
Advertising providers may collect or receive information such as:

Approximate location derived from IP address
Application information
Ad interaction information
This information may be used to provide, measure, and improve advertising.
MoneyTrack does not sell your personal ledger records to advertisers.
Premium users may receive an ad-free experience.

8. Subscriptions and Payments
MoneyTrack may offer optional Premium subscriptions.
Subscription management may be provided through RevenueCat and the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play billing system.
We may receive subscription-related information such as:
Subscription status
Product purchased
Purchase/renewal status
Anonymous or pseudonymous customer identifiers
MoneyTrack does not receive or store your full credit card number or other complete payment credentials.
Payments are processed by the applicable app store payment provider.
9. Google Sheets
Premium users may optionally export their MoneyTrack records to Google Sheets.
This feature requires the user to authorize access to the relevant Google account and Google Sheets functionality.
MoneyTrack uses the authorization granted by the user to create or update the spreadsheet requested by the user.
MoneyTrack does not access unrelated Google account information beyond what is reasonably necessary for the Google Sheets functionality.
You can revoke the application's Google account permissions through your Google account settings.
10. Data Export
MoneyTrack may allow users to export their information in formats such as:
JSON
CSV
Other supported formats
Exported files are controlled by the user and may be stored or shared through other applications on the user's device.
Once you share or upload an exported file to another service, that service's privacy policy applies.
11. Receipts
MoneyTrack allows users to generate transaction receipts.
Receipts may contain information entered by the user, such as:
Names
Amounts
Dates
Notes
Payment status
User profile information
Receipts are generated locally unless a feature explicitly requires cloud processing.
When you share a receipt using your device's sharing functionality, the receipt is sent to the application or service you choose.
MoneyTrack does not control how third-party applications handle information contained in a receipt after you share it.
12. Notifications
MoneyTrack may request permission to send local notifications for features such as payment or due-date reminders.
Notifications are optional.
Notification information may be stored locally on your device and used to display reminders you configure.
13. How We Use Information
Information processed by MoneyTrack may be used to:
Provide ledger functionality
Calculate outstanding balances
Display transaction history
Generate receipts
Provide reminders
Provide cloud backup and synchronization
Provide Google Sheets export

We do not use your personal ledger information to provide financial advice or determine your creditworthiness.
14. What We Do Not Do
MoneyTrack does not:
Sell your personal ledger records to third parties
Sell your contact list
Use your contacts for advertising
Require you to provide a phone number or email address to use basic offline features
Require cloud backup to use the basic ledger
Calculate or charge interest on your borrow/lend records
Determine your credit score
Provide loans or financial services
15. Data Sharing
We may share or disclose information only when necessary to provide the application's services, comply with legal obligations, protect our rights, or operate supporting services.
Depending on the features you use, service providers may include:
Google Firebase
Google Mobile Ads
RevenueCat
Google Sheets
Apple App Store
Google Play
We do not sell your personal ledger records.
16. Data Retention
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the application data, uninstall the application, or otherwise remove it.
For Premium cloud backup, cloud data may remain associated with your account until you delete it or request deletion, subject to applicable legal, security, and operational requirements.
Some technical information, such as crash reports or security logs, may be retained for a reasonable period for operational and security purposes.
17. Deleting Your Data
You can delete individual people, transactions, and payments from within MoneyTrack where supported.
You may also delete your locally stored application data by using the application's available data-management options or by clearing/uninstalling the application from your device.
If you use cloud backup, you may request deletion of your cloud-stored MoneyTrack data by contacting us.

18. Children's Privacy
MoneyTrack is intended for general personal use and is not specifically directed toward children.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by MoneyTrack.

Soft-delete and synchronization safeguards
However, no electronic storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account credentials.
