# Privacy Policy for Miniverse

*Last updated: 24 August 2026*

Miniverse is a collection of offline puzzle games. This policy explains what

the app does with information.

## What we collect

Miniverse itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.

There is no account to create, no sign-in, no email address, and no profile.

## What is stored on your device

Everything the app remembers stays on your phone, in the app's own private

storage. It is never uploaded. It includes:

- Your game settings — theme, sound, text size, difficulty, and similar choices

- Your scores, best times and games-played counts

- Which words you have found in Word Grid

This data is removed when you uninstall the app. You can also clear your

game records at any time from Settings → Data → Clear All Stats.

## Advertising

Miniverse shows ads to support the app. We use LevelPlay (by Unity) to serve

ads from third-party ad networks.

On first launch, the app asks whether you consent to personalized ads. You

can change this choice at any time in Settings → Privacy.

- **Personalized ads** use an advertising identifier provided by your device

to show ads that may be relevant to your interests. The ad networks, not

  Miniverse, process this identifier.

- **Basic ads** do not use your advertising identifier. You will still see

ads, but they will not be tailored to you.

We do not control or have access to the data collected by ad networks. Each

ad network operates under its own privacy policy.

## Firebase

Miniverse uses Google Firebase for two purposes:

- **Remote Config** — to deliver configuration updates (such as enabling or

  disabling ads) without requiring an app update. No personal data is sent;

only the configuration values are fetched.

- **Cloud Messaging** — to receive push notifications about app updates or

announcements. You can disable notifications at any time through your

phone's system settings or by declining the notification permission when

  asked.

Firebase may collect basic diagnostic information (such as app version and

device type) as described in

[Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).

## Permissions

Miniverse requests the following Android permissions:

- **Internet** — required for ads, configuration updates, and push

notifications. The games themselves are fully offline.

- **Advertising ID** (AD_ID) — used only when you have consented to

personalized ads. If you choose basic ads, this identifier is not used.

- **Post Notifications** — to send you push notifications. You can decline

this permission and the app works normally without it.

## Sharing a puzzle

Miniverse lets you share a Sudoku puzzle with someone else. When you choose

to do this, and only then, the app hands a piece of text to your phone's own

share menu, and you decide which app sends it and to whom.

That text contains only the puzzle itself: the board layout, the difficulty,

and — if you chose that option — your completion time or your progress on

that board. It contains nothing that identifies you: no name, no device

identifier, no account.

Miniverse does not send it anywhere itself. Once you pick an app to share

with, that message is handled by whichever app you chose, under that app's

own privacy policy.

## Opening a shared puzzle

To open a puzzle somebody sent you, the app reads your clipboard — **only at

the moment you tap "Play a shared puzzle"**, never in the background and

never at any other time. It looks for a puzzle code, uses it to build the

board, and keeps nothing else. Your clipboard contents are not stored or

transmitted.

## Installing from a shared link

If you installed Miniverse by tapping a link somebody sent, Google Play may

pass the app a "referrer" that contains the puzzle from that link. The app

reads it once, on first launch, to open that puzzle for you, and then ignores

it. This is handled by Google Play; see

[Google's Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy) for how the

Play Store itself handles your data.

## Children

Miniverse is designed for a general audience aged 13 and above, consistent

with its use of advertising. The app does not knowingly collect personal

information from children under 13.

## Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address

with a new "last updated" date.
