This Privacy Policy describes how the MeteoRoute mobile application (“Application”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information.
The Application is provided by CAVOK Karol Karczewski (“Service Provider”) as a Freemium service and is intended for use “AS IS”.
By using the Application, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
The Application collects the following categories of data:
1.1. User-Provided Information
When creating an account through Firebase Authentication, you provide:
Email address
Password (securely stored by Firebase)
Name / display name
Additionally, while using the Application, the following data may be stored in Firebase Firestore:
Recent searches
Favorite points
User points and user-defined content
Application preferences and settings
1.2. Automatically Collected Information
The Application may automatically collect:
Device ID
Firebase Installation ID
User ID associated with Firebase
Device information (model, OS version)
Usage time and session data
Analytics data (Firebase Analytics)
Crash reports and diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics)
1.3. Location Data
The Application does NOT collect precise or approximate location data.
2. Third-Party Services
The Application uses the following Firebase services provided by Google LLC:
Firebase Authentication
Firebase Firestore
Firebase Analytics
Firebase Crashlytics
Firebase Cloud Messaging
Firebase Remote Config
Firebase Performance Monitoring
These services may collect data according to their own privacy policies.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information may be used for:

Creating and maintaining your user account
Synchronizing your data across devices
Storing searches, favorites, and user-defined content

Analytics and performance monitoring
Detecting and fixing crashes
Configuring features using Remote Config

The Application does not show advertisements and does not sell user data.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)
We process personal data based on:
Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR – performance of a contract (account, app features)
Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR – legitimate interests (security, analytics)
Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR – consent (notifications, optional features)
5. Sharing of Information
Your data may be shared only with:
Google Firebase, which processes data as part of app functionality
Authorities, when required by law
Service providers acting strictly on our behalf under data processing agreements
We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.
6. International Data Transfers
Firebase may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area, including the United States.
Transfers are protected under:
Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC)
Additional safeguards implemented by Google
7. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data as long as:
you maintain an account, and
data is necessary for the functioning of the Application.
Deleting your data
You may request deletion of your data and account by contacting us at:

If you do not create an account, local data stored on your device is deleted automatically upon uninstalling the Application.
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:

Request deletion (“right to be forgotten”)

Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (e.g., your local Data Protection Authority)

Opt out of data sale (we do not sell personal data)
10. Children’s Privacy
The Application is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can delete it.

We take reasonable measures to safeguard data, including:
Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
Firebase security rules
Access controls and permissions
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Updates will be posted in the Application and/or on our website.
Continued use of the Application after changes means acceptance of the updated Policy.
