LockApp Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 16, 2026. Applies to: LockApp for Android (package: com.edgesoftwares.lockapp). Contact: qupesoftwares@gmail.com

LockApp is an on-device app locker. Everything it does — reading which app is in front, checking your PIN or fingerprint, and remembering which apps you've protected — happens locally on your phone. This policy explains exactly what that involves.

Information we collect. LockApp does not collect, transmit, or have any way to access your personal information. We do not operate any servers for this app, so there is nowhere for your data to go even if we wanted it to. LockApp does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email, or phone number. It does not connect to the internet to send data anywhere — the release build of LockApp does not even request the INTERNET permission. It does not use analytics SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, advertising SDKs, or any other third-party tracking libraries. It does not access your contacts, photos, location, camera, microphone, messages, or call logs. Everything LockApp needs to function — the list of apps you've chosen to protect, your PIN, and your settings — is created by you, on your device, and stays on your device.

Permissions we use. Android requires apps to declare the system permissions they use. LockApp requests permissions only because they are what make an app locker work, and none of them are used to collect data about you beyond running the lock itself. PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS (Usage Access) lets LockApp deapp is currently on your screen, which is how it knows when to show the lock screen; thischeck happens entirely in memory on your device, and LockApp does not log, store, or transmit your app-usage history; you grant this manually in Settings and can revoke it at any time. SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW     (display over other apps) is used to draw the lock screen as an overlay the moment a protectND_SERVICE and FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USE keep the app-monitoring check running while you use your phone, even when LockApp itself isn't open, and only run while protection is switched on. POST_NOTIFICATIONS shows the persistent low-priority "protection active" status notification Android requires for any foreground service. USE_BIOMETRIC and USE_FINGERPRINT let you unlock protected apps rint or face unlock via Android's own BiometricPrompt; this is optional, you can use a PINinstead, and your biometric data never leaves Android's secure hardware or reaches LockApp. RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED restarts protection automatically after you restart your phone, so locked apps stay locked.   REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS lets you optionally exempt LockApp from battery optimizelayed; LockApp works fine without it. Finally, an optional "Prevent uninstall" device administrator setting stops LockApp from being uninstalled without first entering your PIN, so protection can't be bypassed by simply removing the app; it is off by default, and deactivating it inside LockApp requires your PIN.

Your PIN and biometrics. Your PIN is never stored as plain text and is never transmitted any LockApp derives a salted hash of it using PBKDF2 with 120,000 iterations and stores only that hash, not the PIN itself, inside an encrypted file protected by the Android Keystore. There is no way for us, or anyone without your unlocked device, to retrieve your original PIN from this data. If you
enable fingerprint or face unlock, that authentication is handled entirely by Android's own  your device's secure hardware; LockApp never receives, stores, or has access to your biometric data, only a yes/no result from Android confirming that authentication succeeded.

Where your data is stored. All app data — your PIN hash, the list of apps you've locked, your grace-period and biometric settings, and whether you've completed onboarding — is stored locally on your device only,
using Android's standard app-private storage. It is not backed up to any cloud service operapts out of Android's automatic cloud backup for its data. It is not readable by other appson your device, since Android sandboxes each app's private storage. And it is not accessible to us in any form, at any time, since we run no servers this data could be sent to.

Sharing and third parties. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share any information with third parties, because we don't collect any information to share in the first place. LockApp contains no
advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party libraries that transmit data off youeptions to this, not for marketing, not for "service improvement," not for any other purpose.

Retention and deletion. Your data stays on your device for as long as LockApp remains instalan remove it at any time by going to Settings, then Apps, then LockApp, then Storage andcache, then Clear storage, which erases your PIN, locked-app list, and preferences immediately, or by uninstalling LockApp, which removes the app and all of its local data as part of standard Android app removal. Since no copy of your data ever leaves your device, clearing it on your device is c

Children's privacy. LockApp is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly co from anyone, including children — this is true structurally, since LockApp does not collectpersonal information from any user regardless of age. If you believe a child has used LockApp and are concerned about privacy, you can remove all local data at any time as described above.

Your rights and choices. Because LockApp stores information exclusively on your own device and we hold no copy of it, you already have full, direct control over it, and there is no remote record for us to
export, correct, restrict, or delete on your behalf under regulations such as the GDPR or CCiew everything LockApp knows about your configuration right inside the app's Settings screen, change your PIN, locked-app list, or preferences at any time from within the app, clear app storage or uninstall to delete everything, and revoke Usage Access, overlay, notification, or biometric permissions at
any time from Android Settings. If you have questions about exercising any of these rights, ls below.

Changes to this policy. If LockApp's data practices ever change — for example, if a future cloud-backup feature — we will update this page and revise the effective date above before that change ships. Since LockApp has no way to contact you directly, as there is no account and no push notifications tied to identity, we encourage you to check this page after updating the app if you'd like to
review the current policy.
