A. Location Data & Network Information To provide network scanning features (detecting connected devices, identifying your router, and analyzing WiFi security), the App requires access to your device's location.
Why? Android operating system requirements mandate location permission to access WiFi SSID (network name) and BSSID (MAC address).
Background Access & Monitoring: The App utilizes a background service (flutter_background_service) to monitor network connectivity changes and maintain security scan integrity even when the App is minimized. This ensures real-time protection and notification of new unauthorized devices.
B. Advanced Network Discovery Data To perform "Vulnerability Assessment" and "Advanced Discovery," we collect and process:
mDNS and UPnP Data: We use protocols such as Multicast DNS and UPnP to identify device names, manufacturers, and available services on your network.
Port & Service Information: We analyze open ports and active services on discovered devices to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
Local IP & MAC addresses: Processed locally to generate your network map.
C. Device & Technical Information We collect technical data such as:
Device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers (e.g., Android Advertising ID).
Connectivity status and network type (WiFi, Cellular) via connectivity_plus.
D. Usage Data & Analytics Information about how you interact with the App, including crash logs, performance metrics, and navigation paths via Google AdMob and Firebase.
2. Permissions We Use
Location (Fine/Coarse): Used exclusively to identify the WiFi network name.
Local Network Access: Used to scan for and communicate with other devices on your current connection.
Post Notifications: Used to alert you about completed scans, security threats, or background service status.
Background Service: Used to keep the security monitor active while you use other apps.
3. Third-Party Services & Advertising (AdMob)
We use Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use certain data to show ads that are relevant to you.
Data Collected: IP address, device identifiers (Ad-ID), and interaction data.
Compliance: We comply with Google’s policies regarding personalized advertising and user consent.
4. Data Retention and Security
Local Processing: Importantly, all detailed network maps, device lists, and vulnerability scan results are processed and stored locally on your device via shared_preferences. We do not upload your private network topology to our servers.
Security: We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the technical logs and analytics we receive.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Your Rights (GDPR, KVKK & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold (mostly analytics and support emails).
Opt-out of personalized advertising through Android system settings.
Withdraw consent for background processing and location access at any time through the App settings.
