Insta Charge Privacy Policy

Information used on your device

With your permission, Insta Charge uses the camera to scan recharge cards. Text recognition takes place on your device. The app does not intentionally upload camera images or full recharge codes to me or to analytics services.

The app may read SIM and mobile-operator information to identify your carrier and select a recharge format. Saved recharge profiles—including labels, optional phone numbers, and dial templates—reminder settings, and recharge history with masked codes are stored on your device. You can delete profiles and history in the app, or remove local data by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it. The app does not provide user accounts or cloud backup for these items.

When you choose to place a recharge call or USSD request, the dial string is passed to Android’s phone service and your mobile carrier. Your carrier handles that request under its own privacy practices.

Advertising

The free version uses Google Mobile Ads. Google’s advertising SDK may collect and share your IP address, which can indicate an approximate location; app and ad interactions; diagnostic and performance information; and device or advertising identifiers. This information is used for advertising, measurement, and fraud prevention. See Google’s Privacy Policy and its Mobile Ads data disclosure.

The app requests ad-related consent where required and offers ad privacy choices where available. These choices are separate from the optional analytics setting below. Turning off optional analytics does not turn off ad-related data collection. If you purchase the ad-free upgrade, the app stops loading its banner and interstitial ads while that upgrade is active.

Optional analytics and crash reports

Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics are disabled by default. You can enable or disable both under My InstaCharge → Help improve InstaCharge.

If enabled, Analytics receives information about app use, such as scans started, codes detected, and recharge calls launched, together with associated technical information and identifiers. An operator name or identifier may accompany a recharge event. The app does not intentionally send full recharge codes, saved phone numbers, or profile labels in analytics events.

If enabled, Crashlytics may receive crash reports, stack traces, relevant app state, device information, and an installation identifier so I can diagnose errors. Turning this setting off stops future optional collection by these services; it does not automatically delete information already received. See Firebase’s privacy information.

App configuration, purchases, and referrals

The app uses Firebase Remote Config to retrieve settings such as operator rules, ad frequency, and optional partner offers. Firebase may process an app-installation identifier and technical request information to provide these settings.

The optional ad-free purchase is processed by Google Play. I do not receive your payment-card details. The app receives purchase status and stores a local premium-status setting.

If you choose to share an invitation, the app passes a link containing a generated referral code to the sharing app you select. If you have enabled optional analytics, referral campaign information may also be recorded to measure invitations. The app may show links to external partner offers, from which I may earn a commission. External sites have their own privacy policies.

Permissions and reminders

The app may request camera permission for scanning, phone-state permission for SIM detection, call permission to start a recharge call when you ask, and notification permission for reminders you enable. You can manage these permissions in Android settings. Recharge reminders are scheduled on your device; they are not marketing push messages.

Security, retention, and your choices

I use reasonable measures to protect information, but no system can be guaranteed completely secure. Local profiles and history remain until you delete them, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Information sent to Google may be retained under Google’s applicable policies and settings.

You can turn off optional analytics and crash reporting in the app, manage ad privacy choices where offered, and reset or delete your Android advertising ID in device settings. Children

The app is not designed for children under 13 or the applicable minimum age in their location. If you believe a child has provided personal information to me, please contact me.

Changes

I may update this policy as the app changes. I will revise the effective date and post the new version at the app’s privacy-policy URL.
