Privacy Policy — HabitQuest
Last updated: May 21, 2026
App name: HabitQuest
Developer: Manrtitech (“we”, “us”, or “our”)
This Privacy Policy explains how HabitQuest (“the App”) handles information when you use our gamified habit-tracking application on Android (and other supported platforms where available).
If you have questions, contact us at: manjeetfreelancework@gmail.com
1. Summary
HabitQuest is designed to work primarily offline. Your habits, progress, crystals, and cosmetics are stored on your device. We use a limited set of third-party services for app stability, optional push messages, aggregated analytics, crash reporting, and advertisements. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not sell your personal data.
2. Information stored on your device (local data)
The App stores the following data locally in an on-device database (SQLite):
| Data type | Examples | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Habits | Title, description, color, repeat days, reminder time | Core habit tracking |
| Habit logs | Completion dates per habit | Streaks, history, rewards |
| Game progress | Crystal balance, rewards, shop purchases | Gamification |
| Cosmetics | Unlocked avatars, themes, frames, scenes | Personalization |
| Settings | Theme, display name, notification preferences | App configuration |
| Notification schedules | Reminder times linked to habits | Local habit reminders |
This data stays on your device unless you explicitly export it using the in-app backup feature (JSON file saved to your device storage) or your device is backed up by your operating system (e.g. Google backup).
You can delete local data by uninstalling the App or using the in-app reset option in Settings.
3. Permissions we request
The App may request the following device permissions:
| Permission | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Internet | Firebase services, AdMob ads, and Crashlytics |
| Network state | Check connectivity for online features |
| Notifications | Habit reminders and optional push messages |
| Exact alarms / Alarms & reminders | Deliver habit reminders at the time you choose |
| Boot completed | Reschedule reminders after device restart |
| Vibrate | Optional vibration for notifications |
You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features (reminders, push notifications) may not work without them.
4. Third-party services
We use services provided by Google and related partners. These services may collect identifiers, device information, and usage data according to their own policies.
4.1 Google Firebase
| Service | What it does | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Firebase Analytics | Understand how the App is used (e.g. screens, habit completions, shop purchases) | App instance ID, device info, event parameters (e.g. habit ID as a number, cosmetic item ID) |
| Firebase Crashlytics | Report crashes and errors to improve stability | Crash logs, stack traces, device model, OS version |
| Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) | Optional push notifications from us | FCM registration token, message payload |
Analytics and Crashlytics are disabled in debug builds where technically configured. Crashlytics helps us fix issues such as notification initialization failures.

4.2 Google AdMob
The App displays rewarded ads (optional, for bonus crystals) and native ads (in shop/rewards areas). AdMob may collect and use data for ad delivery and measurement, including:
- Advertising ID (GAID)
- IP address (approximate location)
- Device type, OS version
- Ad interaction data
AdMob may show personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your device settings and consent region.
You can limit ad personalization in Android Settings → Google → Ads.

4.3 Google Play
If you download the App from Google Play, Google processes payment and store-related data under the Google Play Terms of Service.

These events do not include your habit titles or free-text descriptions.

10. International transfers
Google/Firebase and AdMob may process data in the United States and other countries. Google uses appropriate safeguards as described in their documentation.
11. Security
We use industry-standard practices through Google’s SDKs (encrypted transport for network calls). Local data is protected by your device’s OS-level app sandbox. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
