When you use Gigfinder, we collect personal information necessary for the platform’s functionality, including:
* Registration Information: When you create an account, we collect personal details such as your name, contact information, email address, and payment details.
* Usage Information: We collect data about your interaction with the platform, including device information, IP addresses, and browsing behavior to improve user experience and ensure the platform functions properly.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
* Provide, operate, and improve the Gigfinder platform and services.
* Communicate with you, including sending important updates about your account and the platform.
* Process payments and manage your transactions.
* Enforce our terms of service and protect against fraud and unauthorized access.
3. Payment & Payouts
* Full Payment for Bookings: Event planners are required to make the full payment through the Gigfinder platform at the time of booking.
* Payouts to Performers: When performers wish to cash out their earnings, payouts will be processed within 24-48 hours, depending on the bank's processing time.
* Cancellation and Refunds: If there is a cancellation of a booking, the refund is processed according to our cancellation policy, where the event planner may or may not be entitled to a refund based on the timing of the cancellation.
4. OTP (One-Time Password)
We use OTP (One-Time Password) verification to ensure security when performing certain actions on Gigfinder, such as confirming identity during login or authorizing bookings and payments. OTPs are sent via the Gigfinder chat and are valid for a short period. They help prevent unauthorized access to your account.
5. Cancellation Policy
* For Performer Cancellation: If the performer cancels the event more than 3 days before the event, the event planner receives a 100% refund. If the performer cancels within 3 days of the event, the event planner will still receive a full refund.
* For No-Shows: If a performer doesn’t show up to an event, the event planner must report this by requesting a refund within the app within 24 hours. Once verified, the event planner will receive a 100% refund, and the performer may face account suspension for repeated no-shows.
* For Event Planner Cancellation: If the event planner cancels more than 3 days before the event, they will receive a 100% refund. If they cancel within 3 days of the event, they will receive no refund. Gigfinder will retain 15% of the booking fee, and the performer will receive 85% of the total booking fee as compensation for the cancellation.
6. Data Protection and Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. Your personal information is stored securely and is accessible only to authorized personnel who need it to perform their duties.
7. Sharing Your Information
Gigfinder does not share your personal information with third parties, except as necessary to provide the services of the platform or as required by law. For example, we may share information with payment processors to complete transactions or to comply with legal requirements.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
* Access, update, or delete your personal information at any time.
* Opt-out of promotional emails and other communications by following the unsubscribe instructions in the messages.
* Request a copy of the information we have about you.

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will post the revised policy on our website and notify users through the app or email. Any changes will become effective when posted.
