Privacy Policy for ForeverPaste

ForeverPaste ("the app", "we", "us") is a clipboard‑history utility developed by Grace Eby. Your privacy is the entire point of this app. This policy explains what is — and is not — collected.
1. The short version
ForeverPaste stores everything you copy only on your device. We do not run any server for the app, we have no user accounts, and we never receive, see, sell, or transmit the things you copy. Your clipboard history, tags, folders, and backups stay on your device.
2. Information we do NOT collect
We do not collect, store, or have access to: your name, email, phone number, contacts, location, photos, browsing history, or any of your clipboard content (text, links, images, or code). None of this is uploaded anywhere by the app.
3. On‑device storage & security
Your clipboard history is saved locally and encrypted on your device using AES‑256. Access to the app can be protected with Face ID / Touch ID. A "sensitive‑content guard" attempts to skip saving likely passwords, card numbers, and one‑time codes. Backups you choose to export are encrypted with a passphrase you set and are stored wherever you save them; we never receive them.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
ForeverPaste displays ads through Google AdMob to keep the app free. We request non‑personalised ads only. To serve ads and prevent fraud, Google's AdMob SDK may process limited technical information such as a device/advertising identifier, coarse device/usage data, and IP address. Google never receives your clipboard contents, tags, folders, or backups — those never leave your device. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and its advertising practices (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads).
5. Text recognition (OCR)
If you use "Extract text" on a copied image, the text is recognised on your device using the operating system's built‑in text‑recognition. The image and the recognised text are not sent to us or any third party.
6. Children's privacy
ForeverPaste is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. Because we collect no personal data, the app does not build profiles of users.
7. Your control
You can delete any item, clear your history by date or entirely, and remove the app at any time — which deletes all locally stored data. You are in full control of your data at all times.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy; the "Effective date" above will change accordingly. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
