Terms and Conditions for Folio
These terms and conditions apply to the Folio app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Shivam (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as an Ad Supported service.
Upon downloading or utilizing the Application, you are automatically agreeing to the following terms. It is strongly advised that you thoroughly read and understand these terms prior to using the Application.
Unauthorized copying, modification of the Application, any part of the Application, or our trademarks is strictly prohibited. Any attempts to extract the source code of the Application, translate the Application into other languages, or create derivative versions are not permitted. All trademarks, copyrights, database rights, and other intellectual property rights related to the Application remain the property of the Service Provider.
User Content and Responsibility
The Application allows you to import and convert your own eBook files (EPUB). The Service Provider does not own, endorse, or verify the content of the eBooks you choose to import. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right and necessary permissions to use, read, and convert any content you import into the Application. The Service Provider shall not be held liable for any copyright infringement or legal issues arising from the user's choice of content.
Artificial Intelligence and Synthesis
The Application incorporates offline Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for text-to-speech synthesis. While the Service Provider strives for high quality, the Application is provided for use "AS IS" without any warranties regarding the accuracy, naturalness, or completeness of the synthesized audio. AI processing is performed locally on your device and utilizes your device's hardware resources (CPU/Battery).

Limitations of Liability
The Service Provider is dedicated to ensuring that the Application is as beneficial and efficient as possible. However, the Service Provider cannot be held responsible for:
1. Lack of function due to device hardware limitations or battery exhaustion.
2. Data charges incurred while downloading AI narrator models or fetching book metadata via mobile networks.
3. Any loss or damage resulting from the use or inability to use the Application features.
Updates and Termination
The Service Provider may wish to update the application at some point. You will need to download updates to continue using the application. The Service Provider may also cease providing the application at any time without notice. Upon termination, the rights and licenses granted to you will end, and you must cease using the application.
Changes to These Terms and Conditions
The Service Provider may periodically update their Terms and Conditions. You are advised to review this page regularly for any changes.
