Accessibility Service
Focus Shield uses Android's Accessibility Service solely to detect when selected blocked applications are opened during an active focus session.
The Accessibility Service is used only to:
- Detect the foreground application
- Block selected distracting applications
- Display the blocking screen during focus sessions
Accessibility data is never collected, transmitted, stored remotely, or shared with third parties.
Overlay Permission
Focus Shield requests the "Display over other apps" permission to show the focus blocking screen when a blocked application is opened.
This permission is only active during focus sessions.
Notifications
Focus Shield uses notifications for:
- Focus session timers
- Break reminders
- Task reminders
- Habit reminders
Notifications are generated locally on your device.
Internet Connection
Most features of Focus Shield work completely offline.
The application does not require an internet connection for its core functionality.
