# andreascnits Utility Apps Privacy Policy
**Effective date:** August 2, 2026
**Service Provider:** andreascnits
**Contact:** andreascnits@gmail.com
This Privacy Policy applies to the following mobile applications provided by andreascnits (the “Service Provider”):
- **Flash Alert**
- **Decibel X Lite**
- **VibrationX Lite**
- **Magnetic Field Meter**
- **Tap Tempo**
Together, these applications are referred to as the “Applications.” The Applications are provided “as is.” The sections below describe the common privacy practices of all five Applications and the limited differences between their on-device features.
## 1. Information processed by the Applications
The Applications do not require an account and do not ask you to submit your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, or precise location.
Each Application processes only the information needed for its core feature:
- **Flash Alert** controls the device flashlight for steady light, strobe, and SOS modes. If you enable shake-to-toggle, it reads accelerometer values to detect a shake. It also stores selected settings locally on your device, as described in Section 4.
- **Decibel X Lite** reads microphone input levels while you actively run a measurement and calculates approximate sound-level values. Audio samples are analyzed in memory and are never recorded to a file, saved, or transmitted by the Service Provider.
- **VibrationX Lite** reads motion-sensor values, including accelerometer values, and calculates vibration measurements such as the current level, rolling RMS, average, peak, and short live history.
- **Magnetic Field Meter** reads magnetometer values and calculates measurements such as magnetic-field magnitude, axis values, a baseline difference, peak, and short live history.
- **Tap Tempo** processes tap times, calculated BPM, beat state, and your current sound or haptic choices. It does not use the microphone to listen to, identify, or record audio.
Except for the local Flash Alert preferences described in Section 4, this feature information is processed only on your device while the relevant Application is in use. It is kept temporarily in memory for the current session and is not recorded, saved, uploaded, or shared by the Service Provider. The Service Provider does not operate an application backend or cloud service that receives this feature information.
If you contact the Service Provider by email, the Service Provider receives your email address, message, and any other information you choose to include. This information is used only to respond to your request and maintain necessary support records.
## 2. Advertising and automatically processed information
The Applications use Google AdMob to display banner advertisements. Before requesting ads, the Applications use Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain or manage privacy choices where required.
Decibel X Lite, VibrationX Lite, Magnetic Field Meter, and Tap Tempo request non-personalized ads. Flash Alert makes standard AdMob ad requests after the UMP consent flow; depending on your region, device settings, and consent choices, ads in Flash Alert may be personalized or non-personalized. Flash Alert does not request or display banner ads after its optional remove-ads purchase has been recognized on the device.
Google and its advertising partners may automatically process information needed to deliver, measure, limit, and secure ads. Depending on your device, settings, consent choices, and region, this may include your IP address, coarse location derived from the IP address, device and advertising identifiers, device and operating-system information, app interactions, ad impressions and interactions, diagnostic information, and fraud-prevention signals. Non-personalized ads are not selected using your past behavior, although identifiers or local storage may still be used for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, security, and fraud prevention where permitted.
The Service Provider does not use a separate analytics service and does not receive flashlight activity, raw microphone audio, raw motion or magnetometer readings, tap times, calculated tempo, or haptic choices through AdMob.
Google processes advertising data under its own policies:
- [AdMob privacy information](https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543)
- [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)
- [Google advertising technology providers](https://business.safety.google/adscertifications/)
## 3. Device sensors, microphone, flashlight, audio, haptics, and permissions
Flash Alert uses camera or flashlight access only to control the device torch. It does not use the camera to capture, record, save, or transmit photos or video. Its optional shake-to-toggle feature reads accelerometer values locally. The Application may also use vibration or haptic feedback and keep the screen awake while the flashlight is active.
Decibel X Lite requests microphone access only when you start a sound-level measurement. Microphone samples are reduced to approximate level values in memory and are not recorded to a file or sent to the Service Provider. You may deny or revoke microphone access, but the measurement feature will then be unavailable.
VibrationX Lite uses motion sensors only to provide vibration measurements. On supported Apple devices, it may request access to Motion & Fitness or motion-sensor data. You may deny or revoke access in your device settings, but the measurement feature may then be unavailable.
Magnetic Field Meter uses the device magnetometer only to provide magnetic-field measurements. It does not request precise-location permission and does not use magnetometer readings to determine or track your location. Sensor availability, calibration, and accuracy vary by device.
Tap Tempo plays built-in metronome sounds and may provide optional haptic feedback. It does not use the microphone. Core tempo calculation does not require access to contacts, files, photos, or location.
The Applications do not use their sensor, microphone, or feature information to infer your identity or location, and the Service Provider does not receive that information.
## 4. Local preferences and in-app purchases
Flash Alert stores the shake-to-toggle setting, selected strobe speed, and whether the remove-ads purchase has been recognized in local application storage on your device. These preferences are not uploaded to the Service Provider. Other temporary feature choices in the Applications are held locally for the current session unless the relevant Application explicitly shows that a setting will be saved.
Flash Alert offers an optional non-consumable purchase to remove advertisements. Apple App Store or Google Play processes the purchase using the store account and payment method you provide to that store. The Service Provider does not receive your full payment-card or bank-account details. The Application receives purchase product and status information needed to complete or restore the purchase and stores the resulting remove-ads status locally.
Apple and Google process store and purchase information under their own policies:
- [Apple Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/)
- [Google Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy)
## 5. Sharing and disclosure
The Service Provider does not sell your personal information. Feature information described in Sections 1 and 3 remains on your device and is not shared by the Service Provider. Advertising-related information may be processed by Google and its advertising partners as described in Section 2. Purchase-related information may be processed by Apple or Google as described in Section 4.
The Service Provider may disclose information it controls if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse or fraud, or in connection with a transfer of an Application or the Service Provider’s business, subject to applicable law.
## 6. Data retention and deletion
Microphone samples, sensor readings, calculated measurements, shake-detection values, tap times, calculated tempo, beat state, and current temporary feature choices are retained only in memory for the current session. They are discarded when the relevant feature stops, the session is reset, or the Application is closed. Because the Service Provider does not receive or store this feature information, there is no server-side copy for the Service Provider to delete.
Flash Alert preferences remain in local application storage until you change them, clear the Application’s local data, or uninstall the Application. Purchase history is retained by Apple or Google according to the applicable store policy and may remain available for purchase restoration.
Support emails are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations. You may ask the Service Provider to delete support information that it controls, subject to any legal obligation to retain it. Google and its partners retain advertising-related information according to their own policies.
## 7. Your choices and rights
You can stop processing by an Application by uninstalling it. You may also control camera or flashlight access, microphone or sensor access, advertising identifiers, audio, haptics, and other privacy settings through your device settings. You can disable Flash Alert’s shake-to-toggle option in its settings. Where an Application displays a privacy message or privacy-options entry point, you may use it to review the available advertising choices.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning personal information, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint to a data-protection authority. To ask about information held directly by the Service Provider, contact andreascnits@gmail.com. Requests concerning information controlled by Google should be directed to Google through its privacy tools and policy.
## 8. Children
The Applications are not directed to children under 13, and the Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Applications. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided personal information directly to the Service Provider, please contact andreascnits@gmail.com so it can be deleted when appropriate.
## 9. Security and international processing
The Service Provider uses reasonable safeguards for information it controls. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. Google, Apple, and their partners may process advertising or purchase information in countries other than your country of residence, subject to their policies and applicable legal safeguards.
## 10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a revised effective date. You should review this page periodically. If an Application adds a materially different data practice, this policy will be updated before that practice is introduced where required.
