File manager Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the File manager app (hereby referred to as "Application") for VR devices that was created by Saveli Zaitsau (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

**Information Collection and Use**

The Application is a file manager that works fully on your device and does not connect to any external server. It does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to the Service Provider or any third party, and it contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking features.

With your explicit permission, the Application requires access to your device's storage in order to function:

- "All files access" (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE), granted by you through your device's Settings > All files access screen, allowing the Application to browse, read, create, modify, move, and delete files anywhere on your storage; or
- individual folder access, granted by you through the standard Android folder picker ("Add folder"), limiting access to the specific folders you choose.

You control which access to grant, and you can revoke any of it at any time from your device's system settings.

The Application stores a small amount of local metadata on the device itself (in Android's private app storage, via SharedPreferences and a local database). This metadata includes:

- Your settings (theme, view mode, sort order, hidden-file preferences, etc.)
- The list of storage folders ("roots") you have chosen to browse
- Your favorites, recent files, search history, and operation history
- The tags you create and how you apply them
- The Application's Trash, where deleted items are temporarily held until you restore or permanently delete them

This local metadata never leaves your device. It is used solely to make the Application's interface and features work as expected on your own device.

The Application does not collect or access your IP address, your location, the pages or folders you open, or the time you spend in the Application, and no such data is transmitted anywhere.

**Third Party Access**

The Application does not communicate with the internet and does not share any of your data with third parties. The only interactions with other apps on your device occur when you personally choose them to:

- Open or share a file with another app installed on your device (via the standard Android "Open with" / "Share" mechanism) — the file's contents are passed to that app only when and where you initiate it.

The Service Provider may disclose information only in the following limited cases:

- as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
- when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, or investigate fraud.

**Opt-Out Rights**

You can stop all access by the Application to your files and data at any time by:

- revoking "All files access" or any granted folder access from your device's system settings, or
- uninstalling the Application, which removes all local metadata (settings, favorites, tags, history, Trash) it stored on the device.

You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your VR device or via the VR application marketplace or network.

**Data Retention Policy**

All data handled by the Application lives entirely on your device. The Application has no servers and no retention period for any data — when you uninstall the Application, all local data it stored is deleted by the operating system. If you'd like to delete any specific local data (e.g. your Trash or operation history) before uninstalling, you can do so directly within the Application's Settings or Trash screens. **Children**

The Service Provider does not use the Application to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13.

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. In the case the Service Provider should discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, the Service Provider will immediately delete this. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided personal information, please contact the Service Provider (savvazaizev@gmail.com) so that they will be able to take the necessary actions.

**Security**

Because the Application keeps everything on your device and does not sync or transmit data to any network, the security of this data is tied to the security of the device itself. The Service Provider strongly recommends securing your device with a PIN, passcode, or biometric lock, and being mindful of granting "All files access" only to applications you trust, including the Application itself.

**Changes**

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.

This privacy policy is effective as of 2026-10-01

By using the Application, you are consenting to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.
