FellesHytta is an app for managing shared cabins, including bookings, tasks, shopping lists, cabin information, documents, inventory, guest book entries, contacts, meter readings and chat between cabin members.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses, how it is stored, and how it is protected.
1. Data we collect and use
FellesHytta may store the following information that you enter into the app:
- Your name and email address when provided through Sign in with Apple
- Cabin names, addresses and practical cabin information
- Bookings and calendar entries
- Tasks, checklists and shopping list items
- Chat messages between cabin members
- Documents, photos and files uploaded to the app
- Inventory items
- Guest book entries
- Contact information added by users
- Meter readings
- iCloud sharing information needed to share a cabin with other users
This information is used only to provide the app’s functionality.
2. Sign in with Apple
FellesHytta uses Sign in with Apple for authentication. Apple may provide the app with your name, email address and a unique Apple user identifier, depending on what you choose to share.
3. iCloud and CloudKit
FellesHytta stores and syncs app data using Apple iCloud and CloudKit. This allows your data to sync between your devices and enables cabin sharing with other users through iCloud Sharing.
Shared cabin data may be visible to users you invite to the shared cabin group. Only users who are invited and accept the iCloud share can access the shared cabin data.
FellesHytta does not operate its own server for storing your cabin data. Data is stored in Apple’s iCloud infrastructure according to Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
4. Photos, documents and user content
If you upload photos, documents or other files to FellesHytta, these are stored in iCloud/CloudKit as part of the cabin data. Other invited cabin members may be able to view this content if it belongs to a shared cabin.
5. Data sharing
FellesHytta does not sell your personal data.
Your data is not shared with advertisers or third-party marketing services.
Data may be shared only in these cases:
- With cabin members you invite through iCloud Sharing
- With Apple services required for Sign in with Apple, iCloud and CloudKit
- If required by law
6. Tracking and advertising
FellesHytta does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
FellesHytta does not use third-party advertising.
7. Data retention and deletion
Your data remains stored in the app and in iCloud for as long as you keep it there.
You can delete content inside the app where delete functionality is available. You can also remove app data from iCloud through your Apple device’s iCloud settings.
If you delete the app, some data may remain in iCloud until it is removed from your iCloud account or deleted through the app.
8. Security
FellesHytta relies on Apple’s iCloud and CloudKit infrastructure to store and sync data securely. Access to shared cabin data is managed through Apple’s iCloud Sharing system.
You are responsible for choosing carefully who you invite to a shared cabin.
9. Children’s privacy
FellesHytta is not intended for children under the age of 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. The updated version will be made available at the same location as this document.
