Privacy Policy — Fake Chat Maker for Android
Last updated: 30 September 2026

This policy explains what Fake Chat Maker (the "App") does with your information. The App is published by Zaighum Shahzad, trading as Tech Nest ("we", "us"). It is provided free of charge and on an "as is" basis.

THE SHORT VERSION

- Everything you create stays on your phone. We never receive it.
- There is no account and no sign-up. We do not know who you are.
- We do not collect, store, sell or share personal information.
- The App cannot send real messages and is not connected to any messaging service.
- The only thing it sends over the internet is a check for a newer version.

WHAT THE APP IS FOR

Fake Chat Maker creates mock-ups of chat screens, stories and call screens for jokes, memes, screenshots, teaching material and design previews. Everything it produces is fictional and made by you. The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to any messaging service or social network, and it never sends a real message to anyone.

WHAT IS STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

Everything you make is written to private storage on your own phone, inside the area Android reserves for this App. That includes:

- the conversations, messages, timestamps and delivery states you create;
- the contact names, group names and profile pictures you type or choose;
- any photo you pick from your gallery to use in a mock-up, which is copied into the App's own storage;
- your settings, such as chosen language, theme and default chat style.

None of this is uploaded anywhere. We have no server that holds your chats and no way to read them. You can delete any of it inside the App, and uninstalling the App removes all of it from your phone.

WHAT LEAVES YOUR DEVICE

The version check

Each time the App opens, it requests a single configuration document from Google Firebase Cloud Firestore to find out whether a newer version is available and whether it is required. This request is read-only: the App has no permission to write anything to that database, and it sends no information about you, your device contents or anything you have created.

As with any internet request, Google receives the technical details needed to answer it — including your device's IP address, which can indicate your approximate region — and handles them under Firebase's privacy terms (https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy). We do not receive, store or look at any of it. If the check fails for any reason, the App carries on working normally.

Google Play

The App is distributed through Google Play, which collects its own information about installs and updates under Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). That happens between you and Google, not through the App.

When you choose to export or share

Saving a mock-up writes an image or video file to your device's gallery. Sharing one hands that file to whichever app you pick from the Android share sheet. Once a file reaches another app or service, it is covered by that company's privacy policy rather than this one. Nothing is exported or shared unless you ask for it.

WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO

- It shows no advertising.
- It contains no analytics or usage tracking. We do not know which screens you open or how long you spend in the App.
- It contains no crash reporting.
- It does not request or use your location.
- It does not read your contacts, your real messages, your call history or your installed apps.
- It does not use your camera or microphone.
- It does not use artificial intelligence to process your data.
- It does not show you marketing, and it has no way to email you.

PERMISSIONS THE APP ASKS FOR

Photos and media. Used only when you tap to choose a picture for a profile photo or a story background. Android shows you its own picker and the App receives only the one image you select.

Storage (WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, Android 10 and older only). Used only to save a finished export into your gallery. Newer versions of Android do not need this permission and the App does not request it there.

CHILDREN

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them. Because the App collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing for us to delete — but if you are a parent or guardian with a concern, please contact us at the address below.

YOUR CHOICES

You are in control of everything the App holds, because all of it is on your own device:

- Delete individual chats, messages or images inside the App at any time.
- Uninstall the App to remove everything it has stored, including exported files still inside the App's own storage. Files you have already saved to your gallery stay there until you delete them yourself.

There is no request to make for a copy of your data or for its deletion from our systems, because we hold none.

DATA RETENTION

We retain nothing, so there is nothing to retain. Data lives on your device for as long as you keep it there.

SECURITY

Your content is held in the App's private storage area, which Android keeps separate from other apps on the device. Keeping your device updated and locked is the most effective protection for it. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this policy as the App changes. The date at the top always shows the current version, and the latest text is always at this address. Significant changes — for example, if a future version introduces advertising — will be reflected here and in the App's Data safety information on Google Play before that version is released.
