# Privacy Policy — Ever Clock

**Last updated: May 11, 2026**

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile application **Ever Clock** ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. The App is published by Marcos Antonio Salas Abelló.
By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

---

## 1. Summary

Ever Clock is a full‑screen ambient clock. **We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, location, or any document stored on your device.** The App works fully offline for its core feature (showing the time).

The only data that leaves your device is data processed by the third‑party services listed below — primarily for **advertising**, **crash reporting**, **remote configuration**, and **in‑app purchases**. Those services may collect device and usage information as described in their own privacy policies.

---

## 2. Information processed

### a) Information you provide

None. The App has no sign‑up, login, profile, or free‑text input.

### b) Information stored only on your device

Your preferences — selected font/layout pack, clock options (12h/24h, seconds, AM/PM), theme, and similar settings — are saved locally on your device using the operating system's standard storage (`SharedPreferences`/`UserDefaults`). This data is not transmitted to us and is removed when you uninstall the App.

### c) Information collected automatically by third‑party services

When you use the App, the following may be collected and processed by third parties on our behalf:

- **Advertising identifiers and ad‑interaction data** — when ads are shown (e.g. rewarded ads to unlock content), the advertising SDK may access your device's advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / Apple IDFA, subject to your consent), IP address, device model, OS version, coarse region, and information about ads served and tapped.

- **Crash and diagnostic data** — if the App crashes, a crash report containing device model, OS version, App version, language, and the technical stack trace is sent so we can fix the problem. It does not include your personal files.

- **Configuration requests** — the App periodically downloads a small remote configuration file; this involves a standard network request (which exposes your IP address to the provider) but sends no personal data from you.

- **Purchase and subscription data** — if you make an in‑app purchase, a randomly generated, anonymous app user ID, the purchase/transaction identifiers, product purchased, and purchase status are processed to validate and restore your purchase. Payment itself is handled by Apple or Google; we never receive your card or bank details.

## 3. Third‑party services we use

Each of these providers acts as an independent data controller or processor for the data they collect, in accordance with their own privacy policies linked above.

## 4. Advertising and your choices

The App may show advertising provided by Google AdMob, including personalized (interest‑based) ads where permitted.

- **On iOS**, the App uses Apple's **App Tracking Transparency** prompt. If you do not allow tracking, ads will be served on a non‑personalized basis and no cross‑app tracking identifier is used for advertising.

- **In the EEA, UK, and other applicable regions**, the App shows a **Google‑certified consent (CMP) message** the first time ads are relevant; you can grant or refuse consent for personalized advertising there.

- You can also reset or limit your advertising identifier at any time in your device settings (iOS: *Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising*; Android: *Settings → Privacy → Ads*).

---

## 5. Fonts and open‑source software

All typefaces used to render the clock (for example Inter, Rajdhani, JetBrains Mono, Bodoni Moda, Caveat, Monoton, Bangers, and others, several of which originate from the Google Fonts library) are **bundled inside the App and rendered locally on your device**. The App does **not** download fonts at runtime and does **not** send any data to Google Fonts or any font host. These fonts are used under their respective free/open‑source licenses (mainly the SIL Open Font License and the Apache License 2.0), which permit their inclusion in this App.

---

## 6. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)

Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we (and our providers) rely on:

- **Your consent** — for personalized advertising and the use of advertising identifiers (you may withdraw it at any time via your device settings or the in‑app consent options).

- **Legitimate interests** — for non‑personalized advertising, crash reporting, fraud prevention, and keeping the App secure and functional.

- **Performance of a contract** — for processing and restoring in‑app purchases you request.

---

## 7. Data retention

- Preferences stored on your device remain until you change them or uninstall the App.

- Crash reports are retained by the crash‑reporting provider for a limited period (generally up to 90 days) and then deleted or anonymized.

- Advertising and purchase data are retained by the respective providers according to their own policies.

We do not maintain our own user database.

---

## 8. Data sharing and international transfers

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared only with the third‑party providers listed in Section 3, strictly to operate the features described. Those providers may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States; they implement their own safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for such transfers.

---

## 9. Children

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Advertising in the App is configured to request only treatment appropriate for a general audience. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us so we can address it.

---

## 10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, or to data portability. Because we do not hold an account or a personal profile for you, most requests should be directed to the relevant third‑party provider (Section 3). For anything we can act on, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

---

## 11. Security

We rely on the security measures of the operating system and of the third‑party providers listed above (including encrypted network connections). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the limited data involved.

---

## 12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected in an App update. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
