DkB Companion ("the app") is a free, unofficial reference and team-planning companion for Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle, made by Coelho Technologies. This policy explains what the app collects and why.

No account, no personal information. The app has no sign-in and never asks for your name, email, game account, game credentials or location.

What stays on your device. Your teams, collection, recently viewed cards and preferences are stored on your device. If Android backup is on for your device, Android may include this app data in your Google account backup, under Google’s terms; you can turn that off in your device settings. When you use the in-app backup, the app writes or reads a file in the location you choose. When you share a team, the text goes only where you send it with Android’s share sheet.

Game data downloads. The app downloads character, stage and event data and images from our content host (assets.dkbcompanion.com). Like any website, the host receives your IP address and standard request information to deliver those files. We don't link these requests to you or use them to track you.

Crash reports. Production versions of the app use Google Firebase Crashlytics to send a report automatically when the app crashes, so we can fix the problem. A report includes:

  • the error trace and the app's state at the time;
  • technical information about the device (manufacturer, model, operating system);
  • per-installation identifiers created by Firebase.

Firebase also records basic app session information, such as when the app was opened, the app version and the network type, to measure stability. These identifiers are not your Dokkan Battle account and don't identify you by name. We don't add your teams, collection, email or any other personal information to reports. The app doesn't use Google Analytics or advertising.

The reports are sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Firebase keeps crash data for up to 90 days. Collection is automatic and the app has no in-app switch; uninstalling the app stops it. See Firebase's privacy information: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Sharing. We don't sell data or share it with anyone for their own use. Crash reports are processed by Google as our service provider. We may disclose information if the law requires it.

Children. The app is meant for teenagers aged 13 and older and adults. It is not directed to children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their personal information. This statement doesn't mean we verify ages. If you are a parent or guardian with a question, contact us at the address below.

Changes. If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date.
